The question is, who’s going to be able to reverse decisions made by the Supreme Court? They’re supposed to be the highest authority in the land. There’s no real oversight. Term Limits aren't the solution. There's nothing wrong with experience....I look for it in my hairdresser to my plumber. Both Senator Whitehouse and Senator Sanders are 2 examples of experience needed in these days. (There's plenty more with integrity and credibility...) The *issue* is eradicating the #DarkMoney that corrupts the 3 branches of your Democratic Republic. "We the people" needs to supercede Hobby Lobby for starters.

The same happened with the 14th Amendment Section 3 decision. Clear language, the Colorado Supreme Court, legal experts and historians all provided the facts. The court created its own twisted storyline that pretty much nullified Section 3.

Because this "false fact" was MATERIAL to passing Citizens United, logic dictates that the Court MUST revisit that case because of the materiality of that fact being central to the court's decision... I appreciate this, but why is Whitehouse being relegated to law journals. The Senate has oversight over the court but Schumer seems intent on letting them get away with everything and not calling any attention to it. It's awful. Politics instead of doing what's right and addressing an historic injury to one of our 3 branches of gov't. It's really demoralizing.

First, the 14th Amendment's Section 3 is intentionally simple and self-enforcing. This provision bars individuals, like Trump, who have engaged in insurrection from running for president. Section 3 operates independently, without room for court interference. This prevents Trump from seeking the presidency again, ever! Second, the presidency doesn’t have any immunity expressed in the Constitution. It has the salary privilege and nothing else, and if the founders wanted to grant privileges and immunity to the president, they would have done so.
