@@Astrobrant2 now make it 2024! Frustrating, isn't it? For 2020, she had some good points and strategies. In my opinion, she should have been nominated, not Biden, and she's the only person qualified enough, of the democrats, for the next. Biden has taken us backwards with bigger government, more government controls, and less free speech. Middle of the road voters, I think, will find it impossible to vote another democrat in. Those that came to the Capital on Jan 6th, have been frustrated since Clinton, more frustration with Bush and the Patriot Act (less freedom), with Obama bailing out banks.. I've heard southerners were ready to revolt if Obama got re-elected. This Capital storm is not just a Trump election thing. It's frustration for > 2 decades. 50% of America feels this way. We need to find a middle ground or there really could be a civil war and America will cease to exist.

She is the best there is. I wish she had specifically asked them point-blank why they didn't recommend prosecution in this case if it's within their purview to do so. She kind of did in a way, but they still kind of weaseled out of it. If they work with Justice, then they should be able to at least recommend prosecution. That Justice didn't initiate charges in this case, means they're culpable too, and I'd like to see them take some heat. Think I'll write her in for Prez.

On the other hand, what we're seeing now is the precursor to lobbyist ownership. We're seeing genuine work from Warren. However, we need to hope that she doesn't succumb to the highest bidder as most gov't officials do in time. But don't pass this over so easily. At least right now, Warren is one to root for.

She Chaired the Congressional Oversight Committee on the TARP Bailout. The committee that investigated TARP. She did not oversee it. That was handled by Paulson, Geithner, etc. She found that there was 78 Billion Dollars missing and that the toxic assets remained on the books of the banks. Afterwards, she set up the Consumer Bureau, but her appointment was blocked by the Republicans in Congress. She spoke out and said plenty of TARP. That's why the Republicans blocked her.

It's not quite as silly as it sounds, the original bank was actually based in Hong Kong (back when it was a British colony), it moved itself to Britain (by making a parent company in the UK that then bought itself) when Hong Kong was about to be handed over to the Chinese.

The acronym HSBC? Hong Kong Shanghai Bank of China. Foreign own Bank gets away with being in the drug smuggling business. Clearly the War on Drugs only applies to poor people. Thank God for at least one Senator with the courage to ask the tough questions.

Unfortunately she's not the one punishing them, all she is doing is exposing their incompetence or impotence to regulate the banking industry. It's up to the DOJ to prosecute them... but without exposure, these banks do what they want under the cover of darkness / ignorance. Thank you , Ms. Warren!

Hits the nail right on the head! She is so right! Possess an ounce of grass or snow and you're in jail for life. Launder the same money used in those transactions and you get a slap on the wrist. Keep making them uncomfortable, Senator, and maybe they'll do something about it instead of looking the other way. The last 30 years of enforcement is all the same. Slap them with a fine. It's just a cost of doing business. Same as buying the authorities tickets to a football game
