@@chriscox5831 He called Trump a conman and then vied to become his secretary of state. He said he didn’t want to return to the days of Ronald Reagan in 1994, and then said he would very much like to see a Reagan Republican be the 2008 nominee. In 2012, he accepted Trump’s endorsement in his presidential bid. And he accepted Trump’s endorsement during his 2018 Senate run. The man is doing this because he thinks he can run for president again. Maybe. Why would he do this? It seems Mitt has become infected with John McCain syndrome of just being angry. Trump is more popular than him in Utah and with this move, made the impeachment all about him-as he’s done without fail in years past. Mitt isn’t principled. He’s a spineless politician who just wants to be liked-and this is the perfect way to remain hated. He’s a man without a country now and the Republican Party should move to expel him. He’s a loser. He’s a traitor. And he will not be missed.
@@Tlester "He’s a spineless politician who just wants to be liked" There are lots of politicians like that. On the Republican side of the aisle, the way to be liked is to crawl up Trump's ass. Seeing as how he hasn't done so yet, he's doing a really bad job at trying to be liked and thus, is also doing a really bad job at trying to run for president again. What you're seeing here is a man who actually has principles, which does not include pledging fealty to a single man.

I’m worried about the political division going forward in this country. It seems like more and more people are aggregating into their own little corners on the internet and we are all living in different realities with different sets of facts. I doubt things will get better immediately due to Covid and the Culture Wars but maybe one day….

Senator, I was a fan of yours, and agree with most of what you says in this speech; However, what you says about Uyghurs status in China is totally WRONG, it is simple falsehood propaganda by the media and Trump cronies and spread around....very disappointed on this part, as it's distortion of history, facts, and China, the legit China-Republic of China, which was inherited from the Ching Dynasty, include Uyghur regions, Tibet, Taiwan Island, Okinawa, Mongolia, and the Mainland... However, unfortunately the US Truman Government after WWII made fatal mistake of claiming peace in China to promote talks between Nationalist (legit government) and Communists, which leading Communists using their trickery to cheat and win the mainland, and Nationalist fled to Island of Taiwan. Uyghurs region is part of China for over 1500 years, yet there is always terrorist attacks by Uyghurs throughout Chinese history, and the Emperors always tolerant first and have to resort to force later... The Communist government, which definitely is hated by most Chinese people, similarly was tolerant to Uyghurs initially, only after Uyghurs conducted series of ridiculous terrorist attacks on Han people, under the instigation, training and brain washing of Turkish government and Erdogan's "eastern Turkistan" or "greater Ottoman empire" agenda (many terrorists who committed attacks were train in Turkey under that government), and thus Communist government adjust their policy and also started some brain washing... yet, this is totally twisted by Fox and other medias, as if Hans were killing Uyghurs which was Never true, Uyghurs were the people who started killing mass population of Hans, under Erdogan propaganda.... Chinese government is the worst at PR, so obviously it becomes the villains in the media and in your speech here also, however, Chinese people are the most peace loving people, yet Japanese on the other hand is the most sinister, using propaganda and set itself as if the peace keeper in Asia, yet it is the one who invaded China and other countries in WWII to take their territories and resources, stole most of the national treasures from those countries... Anyway, would like to bring to your attention, that what you said this part is distortion of fact, truth and history. Chinese Communist is of course not legit government of China, of course they will not be long lasting, yet the Uyghur situation is never Communist killed Uyghyrs, it is on the contrary... And to set the record straight as afraid you might say something wrong on this part about history also, the legit government of China is Republic of China, which fled to Island of Taiwan after civil war, where it is usurped by the trickery of the DPP party that claimed Taiwan is an independent country..The story of China is the most ridiculous in history, and the US Truman government had a big play in the suffering of Chinese people which fell under Communism after 49... US had a moral obligation to rid China of Communism in 1951 and help Nationalist retake Mainland, which it did not..
