The argument is about wether “the person who the person is complaining to” is bias, irrespective of the truth, and is one sided. Here’s a example: “There had been multiple claims of sexual harassment by different employees but the manager remains to side with harasser.”

If it was the other way around the I hope they would do the same thing. It seems that Google has their thumbprint in all social media outlets and unless I want to be in the dark, I must succumb to using this source. I did not know that when I posted to boycott FaceBook, Twitter and Google. I have stopped using Twitter, now using Parler and will be ending FB account after thanksgiving as I want my friends network to have the opportunity to join me on MeWe. I cannot stop using RU-vid, the reasons stated above, but I wish I could. I also am now using discord to video chat with my family instead of using FaceBook messenger. I am using Bing now for my searches rather than using Google. I unfortunately started an email account with gmail that is linked to my resume. Once I obtain full-time employment again (which looks very promising to happen by the end of the month or next month, as I have had and are continuing to have a plethora of interviews), I will be discontinuing my gmail account. Unfortunately the university that I am with for my masters degree uses gmail, so I am unable to totally divorce gmail until I graduate. From that point on I will only be using yahoo mail for email communications. I am hoping and praying that more competitive companies will start something similar to RU-vid and if anyone knows if one that exits that provides the level of content that RU-vid does, please let me know. Because it is my sincerest intent to boycott the monopiles that our democracy is against. My apologies for the the long statement, I felt there subtle suggestion in your question, that you were implying that somehow I was disingenuous in my cry to boycott these companies. My intent is very clear, the ability to move towards that intent appears will take time and human ingenuity to accomplish.

If 230 is taken away then they can censor more because they wilt be liable for the content posted on their platforms so all content uploaded would have to be pre screened sand would need approval before being posted to keep them from being sued so you see it would force them to censor more section 230 should be reformed to take protections away if they act as an editor or publisher but should still apply if they stay neutral and respect the first amendment

Don't repeal 230, it would stifle growth in the tech industry especially for start-ups. Amend it to ensure that companies who act as publishers are be treated as publishers. If Twitter and Facebook want to censor content, they shouldn't be afforded the protections under 230. This would make them liable for any content published to their platform opening them up to lawsuits and exorbitant operational costs.

Freedom of speech. Twitter/Facebook and other social media forms tend to censor conservative views or news more so than the left. So in essence the public are only getting one side of a story. But I don’t think these hearings do much because the social media CEO’s go right back to doing what they are doing-censorship, because there are no consequences
