The Surface Pro X I s amazing, just got one. It’s the future. No need for the attachment keyboard.. just get a hand held keyboard and relax with a PC experience in any position.
Hi how gd is the pro x is it fast and also is it true that when you upgrade or install Windows 11 on the pro xit can now install 64bit software like you can on a normal laptop or tablet versions
This is the best video for any Microsoft tablets apps.. Thank you sir for every single second that took from your own time to make this amazing useful video 🙏
Hi Sean! Thanks for your nice vid. Have a question - you mentioned rainmeter, which I am also using on another PC. But on Surface X it states that it cannot run on this system. Is there any ARM version available?
Hi Sean, I appreciate your videos on the Pro X and they have been very helpful. Thank you. Do you know if it will ever support apps like Duet Display to connect to an iPad as a second monitor? I've tried it, along with many other variations however, unfortunately, none work.
Thanks for the videos. I work on a Surface Studio and always have a Surface Book as well. I was going to buy an X as a lighter device and use it how you do with web apps and MS apps. Do you think I would regret not getting 16GB's? I noticed your RAM looks like its hitting 91% on a sitting machine. Thoughts?
I have 16 GB and runs great. I bought it recently on discount. Better go with more RAM. SSD you can always change later (I have 256GB SSD), but not RAM.
Ivan is correct, on my SPX the 16GB RAM is usually fully used up. As for apps, Edge Chrome PWAs replace most critical apps like banking, Uber, etc. The only truly missing app is Nebo, an excellent note-taking app.
The windows surface pro x was build because I wanted the fastest hardware I can get that supports open source with these great screen I found to sell. I was shopping for screen for the razer phones 2. Love hunting for new x86 software.
Hey! CAN you Plesse tell me if SPX IA suitable for heavy Office utilisation? Like running TEAMS video conferencing + word + OneNote + excel + Ppt + SAP + outlook + pDF + web browsing + ....?
Thank you!! I tried to install Edge Canary but it tells me it can't install because "requires architecture x64 but this computer has architecture ARM 64". Isn't tout review for the later? I'm very confused. Thank you for the help.
l just got a SP 7 and I'm still trying to figure it out. Just to be clear, does he suggest downloading both Beta AND canary? or just canary?? I'm very lost. Please help
2:48 is it normal for the screen to do that? (kinda like mine but instead it just flickers between brightness i'm considering requesting a replacement).
I just got my Pro X this week, and, subsequently stumbled on your channel. Glad I did, because I discovered the issue with ARM verses 64bit Intel. So, I'm going to be patient and wait for the software guys & gals to catch up. In the meantime, I'm at least able to use office, Foxit and a few other programs. Also, after setting up, I quickly discovered the link to my Android. Very nice!
@@jasonlaughton7590 I haven't tried but I suspect not. (Because of the architecture) I just updated to Win11. Everything that I had on it still works. (I'll try later on with x64 software, but even then I'm not expert enough to know whether it's the architecture or the OS)
That’s odd, why don’t they make something like iMessage that’s works seamlessly across all devices, no “hacks” needed, it is almost 2020 android is having same problem
they do have it users can choose from skype, whatsapp, wechat, messenger to accomplish what iMessage is doing when communicating with other iMessage users, i.e. blue bubble exchanges are simply making use of whatever devices data connection is versus requiring a cellular sms connection + cellular data for mms.
I'm thinking of buying SPX for the wife... Thanks for the video Sean. I looked for the on-screen mouse app and came up short. Where did I go wrong? Thanks
Anyone here who can recommend an app to download to have the messenger experience on surface pro X? Including video calls and dark mode settings.. My SP X doesn't support the messenger app itself.
Hi Sean: Is the Canary build different from the Edge Chromium build that is currently offered as a download from Microsoft? If yes, what are the differences. I downloaded the Edge Chrome onto new SP7 but one issue I have is it doesn’t allow changing profiles (establishing a new default profile), I have to switch every time I use. Any suggestions. Thanks for your great videos.
Found an open box for $798. Not sure it’s worth it for me. I have a 2017 SP5. Setup was clean, I did have an issue installing iCloud. Most likely will take it back.
You should try TouchMe Gesture Stuido. It's on the MS store. It allows you to customize touch gestures for different Windows commands and other commands. It definitely makes tablet mode better.
@@SeanSheffer it would be great if you made a video testing a few of these optimised apps. Your Surface Pro X reviews are genuinely useful as you're actually using the product not just opening the box. I'm planning to upgrade my SP4 mostly because of abysmal battery life. I've been using a Chromebook I want this battery in a Surface Pro. But it won't be until next year I'll be able to get on :(
What? Microsoft Edge is a Google Chromium based browser? That's as bizarre as the Xbox running Linux. Looks like Gates is more into CovId than computers these days
What are these text messages he is talking about? ;-) Is it something like WhatsApp with the WhatsApp windows app? And where is the tip on how to breath while lying in bed? Tbh: if I buy and touch screen device to put a touch pad on the screen an cover a quarter of it I might bought something I don't need?
Alex McCaffrey let’s be honest... The Surface Pro 7 is ugly compared to the Pro X. That’s why a lot of use wish the Pro X had Pro 7 internals. I walked away from the X because the app selection is horrible. Plus, even in this very video the X is referred to as “an experiment” device. Why would I pay X prices for an experiment that could/is failing?
@@trentgilliam5192 it would be a different device with an Intel CPU. No guarantee of LTE, it'll likely have fans to be this slim, its battery could be less. Its not the same product. Nor is it for the same market anyway. Intel is Do All, ARM is Mobile First. Not running Adobe Apps or Games doesn't make for a terrible app selection :-/. The fact you want more Desktop apps than Office, Email and a Browser doesn't mean others don't. Those are the main apps for thousands of users, especially business users who this is targeted to first. Selective with your watching? The same video makes a point of mentioning the Pro X, like Chromebooks before, has access to lots of apps. A Web Browser stopped being just an App years ago. It's the platform for thousands of apps people use daily. Watch again.
as did windows phone and when it got killed so did the oob windows 10 messages app that supported that relationship given it made use of a microsoft consumer account [msa] link no laptop/tablet and phone. i don't know when the android phone web app support [ messages.google.com/web/conversations ] came out its release history but it also supports the same thing.
