Indian telling how they were descriminated by their own country during war #fargo #season2 #scnz #ihti #jefferydonnovan Fargo, season2, scnz, ihti, jefferydonnovan.
He also appears in season 1 and is eventually shot to death with an AK-47 (or some other equally powerful machine gun) by Billy Bob. But how much more powerful and successful he is in season 1 than 2 or whether or not season 2 Hanzee would win in a fight against his season 1 counterpart is completely irrelevant because Billy Bob sneaks up on him when he’s not paying attention and least expects it.
@@samreilly1484 I think that Billy Bob would have had a much harder time sneaking up on S2 Hanzee, for the simple reason that Hanzee would not have put himself in that situation. Would love to see the progression of his character throughout the years and to see how he ended up so fat yet so powerful.
@@cheedle786 fair enough. But season 1 Hanzee is not morbidly obese. He’s definitely under 300. I’d estimate 6 feet 256. He can still move around. But you’re right. Unlike his season 1 counterpart, Hanzee in season 2 is always paying attention and is prepared for any sneak attack. But you feel sorry for Hanzee in season 2. He goes from being the enslaved human attack dog for a family of racist fucks to the head of the most powerful crime syndicate on Earth. He’s 5’6” 160 in season 2 and 6 feet 256 in season 1.
Funny how both were in Nam, yet obviously they had a completely different experience. Although you can see Hanzee appreciates the fact a bit and shares some personal story from Nam with the fellow soldier, although they are now on the opposite sides. Usually Hanzee was just stoic or silent, so him opening up is a good sign for Sonny. Sonny is really intimidated here, though. Who wouldn't be
@@dreadheadgarage he could have been tbf alot of men got drafted and did their time he probed stayed on a firebase or in the cities for a year and left before tet hanzee prob came in the earlier tours and stayed for more
@@dreadheadgarage I think he was in Nam, because of how fast and negative he replied to Hanzee's question of whether or not he missed it. Both his answer and his demeanor says that, unlike Hanzee, this guy became averse and even afraid of conflict after Vietnam. He was probably a coward in the field, too.
@@TeeAiDee There's also the fact that Sonny was drinking in the Veteran's Services club earlier with Karl and Lou. Even though this doesn't really confirm that he's a vet, I think thematically it's meant to be an indication that he did enlist at some point.
When Lou, Karl, and Sonny are drinking together Lou says they all served in Vietnam when referring to Eisenhower’s Military Industrial Complex speech. Chances are Sonny was deployed but probably served as a mechanic/admin on a base. He was definitely exaggerating his experiences when he said they called him “Mad Dog” though 🤣
I would love to see Zahn Mclarnon (Hanzee) in a western. He just gives off that silent badass energy. It would also be interesting since most western heroes are tall but Zahn is only about 5 foot 6. I could imagine a scene where someone judges him by his size in a bar, only to get knocked out in one punch
@@NeckbeardDeathMetalMoshpit Agreed I was so glad to see him appear in that movie, and then frustrated that he didn't have more screen time! Dude has incredible presence and potential
By far season 2 is my favorite, and Ohanzee Dent is a big reason, what a great character. He has limited dialog but makes up for it with great Quality.
I love how the music score cues in when Hanzee pulls out the razor blade and they start talking about Vietnam and ends when the lawyer comes out of the restroom. Both guys lived because they didn't disrespect Hanzee unlike the bar scene where he was disrespected.
Man all this badass wanted was to be left alone….can you imagine fighting for a country that won’t fight forever you? Just continues to be ignorant and racist and yet people get shocked when they are pushed too far.
Let's be clear: "to be left alone" is not what Hanzee wanted here. He wanted to capture and kill Ed. At the bar and the gas station, sure, he wanted to get in, get information, maybe some water, and leave but his overall motivation was still to capture and kill Ed. HERE he's looking through Ed's car for identifying information directly in front of the garage owner who is doing the right thing in asking him to stop and leave.
