Sending a pumpkin to the moon? (WE MADE IT!) Pt. 2

So as you probably remember, I was supposed to blow up a pumpkin (send it to the moon) to celebrate father's day. The ground salute failed and the pumpkin survived. In this video, I'm righting that wrong and finally give him the send-off he deserves.

That's an awesome location for those kind of fireworks! By the way, are you planning on attending this year's PGI in Wisconsin from August 12th - 18th? Great place to see countless of similarly sized salutes for sure!

As of right now no, but I will not rule it out. I'm planning to celebrate 4th of July over there but heading back a couple of days after that. Perhaps I'll have to come back for PGI? :)

@@AndyThePyro that's a great idea. I'm excited to see your videos from 4th of July there. If you don't mind, where or which state are you planning on celebrating the 4th at? I can highly recommend the PGI, absolutely worth it. Especially if you're into all those selfmade shells, rockets, girandolas and salutes.

@@AndyThePyro oh, Indiana is one of the few states that I haven't been to actually. If you go there, definitely drive to Hannibal, Illinois and visit the Firework Superstore. That store is absolutely crazy! Ask for Tom or Jeff and that you're interested in 'the good stuff' 😂😂 If I were to go to the US for 4th july, I'd probably choose Las Vegas & Moapa Paiute. There's some videos of their 4th July afterparty... Not sure if you've seen the video of the 150 strobe rockets going off at once, that was also there. It's also available on RU-vid 😁

Terrible news from Slovenia. Yesterday the Hamex factory exploded, one person killed, the owner and his a Son in life danger. I saw few Hamex shells in your videos and i wonder if you have any left and could make a video in honor of Hamex? Greetings from a huge fan from Slovenia.

Well Andy it looks like you were successful in the launch. That was quite a ground salute. I could not read the label on my Windows computer, but was that thing about 300 grams with some Ti sprinkles added in? Had the ground not been frozen, you would have gotten a nice crater from that salute. It looked like your rail was plenty far from the salute/pumpkin to keep it from being damaged, but it looks like it was simply destroyed. Guess the revenge of the Pumpkin remains in tact!!! Ha ha. Sorry about that. Pyro on my friend....

Haha! Label said 200g and there were a bunch of them in that can, would estimate approximately 4-5kg flash in total.

@@AndyThePyro OK... That is why you blew up your rail. That is a crazy amount of flash to set off in one container. You obviously know what you are doing. But that is more like a damn bomb than a firecracker. Ha ha. I think the pumpkin went right past the moon and is around Mars by now. Pyro on my friend!

I agree the plastic is unwanted but it was the best option I had. Keep in mind that it was not only one of those salutes in the can. At least i removed the plastic lid before firing 😝
