Keep in mind that my videos are often filmed weeks earlier than they’re posted. We’re all taking things much easier these days to keep the hospitals clear. Stay safe out there. -Nic
Wait a sec, your name is Nic? I thought it was Van or something😂🤣

Riders and other athletes of the world, listen up! We have to figure out a way to represent the depth of the terrain on GoPro POV footage. So many epic moments go unnoticed because everything looks small and smooth.
I heard 360 can footage represents it pretty well. Obviously it's still not the same cuz you watch it though a 2 dimensional screen. But it's much better than a wide angle GoPro from what I've heard/seen.
I just have to tell you, I love how chill you keep this channel. That crash would have made a perfect clickbait thumbnail, with the POV sight of your bike upside down. But do you spoil the surprise? No. So, I thank you.
Wow. That "Girls only" trail looks about as technically difficult as it gets. I had to put my coffee down cuz I was pulling up and ducking to the sides too much. lol Lovin" the angry hornet in your rear hub, especially when you're flying. Such a nice sound.
I was an exchange student at UBC Van last year and enjoyed these trails SO much. Sweet to relive them through your videos! Struggled with the same two features on Ladies Only, and Lower Ladies... well, I left that for when I return :P
So bloody gnarley! Well done boys. I'm a Canadian that lives in Melbourne Australia and works for the distributors of Rocky Mountain. This is where I need to be riding my Rocky Mountain Instinct BC Edition for sure!
Those slow, super-techy dh trails are the essence of mountain biking to me, more so than high speed stuff! Seriously controlling your speed, LOTS of 'body english', AWESOME! Great vid!
Just rode that line today...if you are thinking of doing this direct line, there is a perpendicular log set in place at the base of the farther rock. It's not more difficult, but it looks more awkward....one more object to clear. FYI...well done VanCan.
I'm currently building a hometrail in the woods right above where I live. Tomorrow I'm planning to build the first north shore and your videos give me lots of inspiration.
The video if "Lower Ladies" and the music reminded me of some video game action. It almost seemed like I was watching someone play a game on hard mode. Nice video and thanks for sharing. Just subbed.
Todd Fiander (aka Digger) built this trail. He's deservedly in the MTB Hall of Fame as a builder. Read about it here: mmbhof.org/north-shore-trail-builders/
Hey VanCan have you noticed any sort of unexplainable rear end clunk/noise with your Enduro? I have a new comp and every little bump or shard depression it makes the most annoying racket. Dealer can seem to figure it out. I've checked literally everything too.
@@VanCan Awesome! I'm curious, what type of bike are you riding? Enduro or more Trail oriented for this type of trail/course? I just bought a V1 Ripmo, btw.
Don't mean to be a downer. but, with the ronas escalating here in Vancouver I've started to rethink highly technical rides as in the case of a crash youd take away valuable time and resources from our doctors fighting it in hospitals aswell as the risk of contracting it yourself when receiving care. Maybe this is pre-recorded doesn't matter I still enjoyed this content. But I also know id love to see some bike maintainence tutorials or FAQs vids. Cheers mate!
Everything is pre-recorded, I wish we could live steam this! Yes, this was filmed weeks ago and no one I know is riding these trails or this fast right now.
