Nadeko's face at the end of this scene man. Just had an identity crisis, becoming an oddity, and knowing that she's alienated everyone close to her that not even her enemies respect her... Poor girl's not having a fun time.
from the way i see it, even if its not a bluff and she intend to go thru with her threat, it doesnt really matter, this nadeko managed to handle both araragi and shinobu, so, a normal human like senjougahara wouldn't be a problem.
It's definitely a bluff. She's extremely scared much like anyone would be. When she first convinces Kaiki to help her, she has to hide in the bathroom to cry out of relief.
@@Nokia2k03 it can be hard to find the whole series without resorting to either buying blurays or the high seas, but definitely worth a watch, still my favorite anime of all time
Monogatari series can be a bit of a hard watch, it’s definitely not like a shonen anime for example. The way it’s structured leads to a really slow burn where character arcs happen across entire seasons and can go long times without focus, with lots of characters seemingly doing not much of anything but talking or going on unrelated tangents in the meantime. Some scenes can be incredibly uncomfortable too. It’s something I really like though, and wish more people could get into

After watching currently airing season, it became clear that Nadeko and her alternate personas are supposed to represent five stages of grief and God Nadeko represents bargaining in particular as shown in this scene.
I watched bakemonogatari series back when i was in middle school 🤣 I think i need to rewatch it because i for sure missed half of the context of the show
I don't know if it was mentioned during this animated scene but Hitagi also said this bit when she was talking about the order in which to kill them: - "There is no reason to keep Araragi-kun alive if Shinobu is dead" That's basically because Araragi sees no future without Shinobu in it. If Shinobu dies, Araragi dies as well. Not that Shinobu's death would "literaly" kill him but the implication being is that he'd "join her" if that ever happend. It's a pretty heavy topic.
@@heycinar Well, Monogatari is a story that, as it develops, resolves the gaps or unanswered questions it leaves behind. Most of the things that happen in Monogatari have an explanation, either explicitly or implicitly in the same arc or in a later or earlier arc. Despite being a long story, there are few convenient plot contrivances, most of them are justified in some way or another. There are clear exceptions. The biggest exception is the power Gaen has, it's very convenient and at no point is it explained why she has it. But overall, it's a very polished story. That's why this moment of Hitagi calling at such a convenient time is so striking to me.
as always can't really fault anyone for not wanting to watch it, there's no shortage of the tropes even now with the latest season literally airing rn. you can't promise them that it drops the shit after a point, just make them watch the kizu trilogy and that's good enough
I watched the entire monogatari series because of renai ciculation being popular on the internet. Seeing this arc suprised me at first lol😂😂 I still love the series nonetheless, I hope offseason and monster season would be animated anytime soon.
