There is also a comparison of sound quality vs a wired e835 handheld mic as we demo wireless mic vs wired mic. As you will see, the quality of this mic makes it a great economical choice for a Church.
The Sennheiser XSW 1-835 wireless and Sennheiser e835 wired mics are available for purchase from stock at networxav.com.

Is there a phantom power built in this wireless system?

Hi. Thanks for the video overview. I'm considering getting a pair of these as roving mics for audience questions during Q&A sessions. How do you find the handling noise o the ABS bodies?
@NetworxAudioVideoInc
@NetworxAudioVideoInc 2 года назад
I find the handling noise average for a wireless mic of that price range. I also find that if you are using a high pass filter (HPF) on the mic input you can reduce handling noise. I also find the sound quality is significantly clearer than most wireless mics of this price range. Hope this helps.

I have this microphone for a while now, and I have been enjoying using it at my parties, but unfortunately I have been experiencing a "squeecking" or vibrating sounds from it lately. Can you please advise me on how to eliminate this problem. How do I use the SQ button on the back of the receiver and the frequency button on the handheld mic? Please help by replying. Thanks
@NetworxAudioVideoInc
@NetworxAudioVideoInc Год назад
If the issue is related to RF interference, you might need scan for a new frequency as shown in the video. You can also adjust the squelch to tune out noise but this will reduce the effective range of the wireless mic. You should try walking around with the mic after setting this to find the best adjustment for your venue. You should also always use new batteries to ensure the best reception possible. If the issue is more related to distortion, you might need to lower the gain of the wireless mic and redo the mixer input settings to correct this. Here is a video that can help with the setup: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Md6-MEsiFDg.html Hope this helps ...

Can i use it to record vocal live performances? Great video!!
@NetworxAudioVideoInc
@NetworxAudioVideoInc 2 года назад
The mic is definitely good for live performances and can be recorded with great results, however, if you are planning on professional quality recordings, you might consider a higher price range for a wireless mic that would have a lower background noise level and higher dynamic range like the EW-D digital versions of these wireless mics. Hope this makes sense and hope this helps ...

We've had this mic in our church for a few months now and im facing a few issues with it. The tower signal that is displayed on the receiver sometimes blinks (goes off and comes back on). Either randomly or sometimes when singers hit high notes. When this happens the audio gets cut off for a split second. But it is very noticeable. Can you please help me with this issue

@NetworxAudioVideoInc
@NetworxAudioVideoInc Год назад
Sorry I have not heard of that issue. You might want to go to the Sennheiser website and click on the support link and then go to the repair section. From there you can fill in a warranty repair request. They will give you the details of how you can send it in to get fixed. Hope this helps ...

Possibly a stupid, but on the website for the dual wireless system. It said “Plus, with the ability to utilise up to ten systems at the same time, you've got a system that grows with you.” Does this mean I can add more wireless handsets? If yes, is it advisable? Or should we just invest in a different system with let’s say a quad channel? Thanks
@NetworxAudioVideoInc
@NetworxAudioVideoInc 3 года назад
It basically means you can have multiple channels (one mic & receiver pair) operating at the same time. You could possibly save money buying a quad system but usually having multiple single or dual systems reduces risk of equipment failure stopping all 4 mics. Generally if you are using mics in a venue, you might also consider the XSW 2 or ew100 G4 series with detachable antennas which will give you the opportunity to place the antennas away from the receivers for better reception. Hope this helps.

@@NetworxAudioVideoInc Hello James, I have added two microphones in one receiver but no clue how to make both of them work at the same time, I can only use one at a time as microphones are sync in two channels( need changing the channel to use the second microphone) Kind Regards
@NetworxAudioVideoInc
@NetworxAudioVideoInc 3 года назад
A single channel receiver like the XSW-1 835 only supports a single mic at a time. A dual channel receiver like the XSW-1 835 dual can support 2 mics at the same time. You would need to pair each microphone to each receiver section. Hope this makes sense and hope this helps.

@NetworxAudioVideoInc
@NetworxAudioVideoInc Год назад
The receiver can be paired with any transmitter of the same series. That being said, only one transmitter should be on at a time as more than one transmitting on the same frequency can cause issues including annoying sounds. Hope this helps.

@NetworxAudioVideoInc
@NetworxAudioVideoInc 2 года назад
Yes it will on certain models that have a microphone input. If you have not purchased one yet you can search on the Sony website and view the full specifications on the different available models to see which have a microphone input. You may need to confirm from a manual if a microphone will work on all speakers when using multiple speakers. Hope this helps.

If you are connecting your laptop to a mixer and also connecting your mic to a mixer then they should both work together. If you are trying to connect your mic to your laptop, you will need and audio interface to connect your wireless mic into. Hope this makes sense and hope this helps ...

great video! How do I connect it to an AV receiver?
@NetworxAudioVideoInc
@NetworxAudioVideoInc 2 года назад
I am glad you liked the video, thank you. Typically a residential AV receiver would not have a Mic input and normally would not accommodate the connection of a wireless mic. If the intended use is only to use the mic, then you could try using adapter cables to connect the line level output of the wireless mic receiver into an available input on the receiver. The adapter cables will vary depending on the connectors used on both ends. If the intent is to use the mic along with a music source playing simultaneously, you will need to use an external mixer to connect both the mic and music source to and then connect the mixer to the AV receiver. Hope this makes sense and hope this is helpful.

My setup for that video was using a wired mic outside of the camera view so you can not see the mic for most of the video. During the demo portion of the wireless mic, I actually move the wired mic into camera view for a few seconds to show the comparison of sound quality. Hope this all makes sense, and I hope I was able to answer your question.
