Also THANK YOU for saying gold isn't easy to find and just not lying around everywhere. To many people making out it is very easy to find, and many fake videos where it's been planted. Specially when it come to beach hunting.

I'm curious about that threaded pin that you found, Glenn. When I looked at it as you described it, I thought it could be an old pocket watch winder/adjuster. It may have fallen off the watch at some point and some poor digger went home from the diggings and discovered his watch was buggered. Just a thought.

Another very productive day on the Gold Fields fella's, Keep it up hope to see you out there one day

Went out last monday week 1 hr got a 13.3 gram bit after acid dropped to 12.5 first detect for 3 months went back the next day .2 bit then nothing for 4 trips so i gave up for a few weeks i seem to lose interest after 2 hrs ,i ride my electric bike to the diggings around talbot i live right near the diggings No fuel costs but was looking at creswick field seems to be a lot of people detecting over that way of late. you guys are an inspiration.

I thought you were playing tricks on Ant for a moment Glen when you said ‘which hand is it in’ cause I heard it over the coil then to my amazement you threw it between your legs, separated what was in your other hand, and then ask Ant which hand 😂. Then I reckon the way that ‘billy goat Glen’ worked that final slope at head height, he could still work the women 😏. Great stuff, and I too have gone back to my Commander DD coil on my 4500 you influencers 😂.

Gidday lads. I too have purchased a GPX 5000. Retired now on a War Service Pention at 54 and have always loved getting out the Bush and thought (after numerous RU-vid clips etcetera) that the 5000 was the go for me. I also got a CTX3030 for the depth and discrimination capacities. I note in this Clip you say you didn't dig a target because it was rubbish. Sorry to be a nuisance mate, and seriously only because lugging two Detectors through the bush is bloody tough going, even for a fit enough fellah like me, but would you mind terribly helping me understand signals from rubbish or mine site debri a bit better while using the 5000 please ???? I'm in no way any sort of expert, and barely have 57 hours into using the 500 ( info from my log book) I have dug a couple bits of Gold (including a Sovereign and a couple other coins) but that was all from one place a friend told me about where an old fellah lived after WW2 (Beechworth area) with severe Shell Shock so really I have only dug up another blokes life's savings I think. The Sovereign was first run from the Melbourne Mint and was wrapped in grease rapping (I think) and in Mint condition with a couple other coins such as Pennies etcetera. The old fellah hasn't been seen since my mate was 11 years old. so close to 45 years and absolutely no knowledge of family so we can't track relatives or descendants. Anyway I was over at Rushworth a few days ago (site de-identified of course) and took the GPX 5000 with good constant (but faint) signals down deep (I think) amongst a whole lot of rubbish in what I call a rubbish layer much closer to the surface. To explain my thoughts here, I'd dig an old bit of rubbish iron down to about 15 to 18 cm and scrape the area clean for about two feet, then, I was getting faint but constant signals right down deep (I think), but, I was with others so really didn't have time to dig bloody great holes for what I can only assume was tiny bits (of yellow) down deeper, but, when it cools down a bit I might take the Camper over and look properly. To add to my limited understanding here, I very nearly left the dig without digging the Sovereign and two other Coins because the signal was all warbly like an old VB can or something, but, with a bit of OCD (and curiosity) I dug down to nearly 2 1/2 feet to retrieve the Sovereign in a Tobacco Tin. Apologies for such a long winded message, but I do find what you blokes do fascinating. Any insights or experience with delineating through rubbish without having to dig absolutely every bit of crap would be greatly appreciated.

Hay Boys nice work, bloody he'll you worked hard for it to , steering those big coils around that tight over grown gully, I would love to see how you would go with a small sadi coil , I run one nowadays and it hardly ever comes of my 4500 . In places I flogged for the last 20 years the little sadi keeps popping them out .cheers guys keep the videos coming.
