It’s really frustrating how it’s treated as a quirky fun fact about him and not like….an important character reveal tied to his growth as a person and the development of his relationship with/trust in the party. It’s not the worst thing to get spoiled about, but it does severely undermine the actual reveal.
@@nazstarz that or the dryad episode. If anime only people have questions, the answers should only be from stuff that already happened or cut content. I don't understand why this is that hard. Like the details of how resurrection works. I still think that was a bad call.
Key takeaway for this ep ( DONT READ THE REPLIES MANGA READERS CANT HELP THEMSELVES SPOILING IN HERE) • Izutsumi loves sleeping on chilchuk • Thistle went crazy studying ancient magic that he casted immortality to the whole kingdom • No Senshi fanservice because hes on winter clothing • Marcille is very competent magician • Chilchuk a dad who left to buy milk
There is another point we learned about Thistle before, and that being he went crazy since the Old King died, and had jumped into studying ancient magic since.
@@beatrizortega1712 cant help yourself trying to correct people by spoiling cant you? Holy fuck im a manga reader too but i dont go around spoiling stuffs that hasn't appeared in anime yet.
The Skyfish is a UMA discovered in America in 1994, and its true identity is a blurring phenomenon caused by flies and other creatures. It's fun to see it appear as a fantasy monster or familiar, which shows the freedom of the author's imagination.
The funniest thing about the skyfish is that it managed to get to Communist China in the middle of the cold war and forced the CCP to assign a team of scientists from the Chinese Academy of Sciences to debunk it. Their work is actually why we know what the skyfish are.
4:17 Arigatai (ありがたい) can be written in Kanji ver., like 有難い. The litteral definition of 有難い is “it’s difficult to have/ happen,” and it tends to mean “grateful” cause “it’s difficult to happen = it doesn’t happen so often.” Arigatou has the same root.
Had to correct your theory abit man, dont forget the Golden Country has been underground for around 1000 years. This is implied from last episode when the wine maker said he started when he was around 600ish old, and has been going for 400 years since.
I laughed so hard during this episode because the birdies look like Babybel wax package XD And how many times I made little creatures with them as a kid, I totally get Laios!
Yeah, very early on in the series the spoilers were being posted. The excitement of people getting to see Dungeon Meshi for the first got to manga-reader's heads.
I like how people see him complaining about receiving spoilers on the comments earlier on the season and then they take this opportunity to spoil just a little bit more from the manga c:
For sure, i don't consider people that give warnings to be spoiling because its really hard to read their comments by accident, but a lot of manga readers don't have that courtesy.
I believe that Chilchucks kids are mostly seen in extra comics so i really hope they adapt them because they are adorable (fully grown adults). Also Chilchuck apparently had his firstborn at 13, which is young even by halffoot standards (they reach maturity at 14 so it's like being a teen parent)
it's probably too soon to be talking about his kids like this, the manga leaves the details light on purpose at this point. gotta wait till next season to start telling anime fans about what's in the extras
17:34 Yes. Some people seem unable to not spoil stuff. FFS. What should only be filled in is if they missed something that already happened or if it was cut content.
5:34 Possibly. 18:44 Maybe? Not sure Thistle cares about the riches of the kingdom as much as he ‘should.’ By Yaad’s account, the main thing Thistle has been focusing on since Delgal’s ‘escape’ was _finding_ Delgal (which has only been an issue for the past six years). But maybe he has beef with dwarves, and just didn’t notice him being with them?
Thistle is 120% Delgal-focused. His adoptive brother has *disappeared* even after he went to all the effort to ensure that he and all his people would *live FOREVER*. He's got a bit of Marcille's different-age-scale trauma mixed with an absolute turbo-shitload of magical power. He's totally lost contact with reality because he can't accept a reality in which Delgal no longer exists.
ARIGATO(ありがとう) is "thanks." ARIGATAI(ありがたい) means "that is glad things" . Both have the same meaning. However, ARIGATAI(ありがたい) is an old-fashioned way of saying.
Wow maybe we’ll get to see it so alluding to it being a certain way and being about a certain part of his character is a bit spoilery no? Not that you even considered that since it’s blind love for something so you don’t see how it’s wrong.
@@SantaClaus-kk8zr Just saying it's tragic doesn't spoil all that much. People can already guess from all his trauma that it cannot possibly be happy. So chill. Chuck.
For the record, this isn't Ancient Magic she's using, but just normal magic. The elves do even more advanced familiar creation rituals to make their fairies!
Izutsumi was like that because the monster she was fused with "overtook" her mentality. so her human counterpart was dormant while the panther (I think) part of her was active.
I always remember Marcille's reaction when she heard Chilchuck had a wife and children, so I was also quite upset when someone spoiled Chilchuck's wife and children. I don't even dare to comment that Marcille and Izutsumi are like Chilchuck's adopted daughters in previous episodes
"Marcille and Izutsumi are like Chilchuck's adopted daughters" I read the manga as it came out. I can see this angle but, I don't remember anything confirming that. About the only thing I can think of is at the very end. Spoilers . . . . . Where Chilchuck had to do Marcille's hair because she lost the desire to take care of it and he had a lot of experience from taking care of his own daughters. The most I remember with Izutsumi is Chilchuck is her favorite person to sleep with. Just in case someone reads this for the spoilers, literally sleep. Nothing sexual.
I also loved how Izutsumi was instantly like "yes, dadchuck, i will snuggle" and when he brushed her off and saw laios petting her like a cat he was like "no, fuck, fine, you can ruin my sleep on a regular basis, laios should not be allowed to pet a 17y.o. girlcat"
ARIGATAI (ancient: arigatashi) is a word turned from “rare/seldom” to words of gratitude. Its original form. ←有り/在り ari(to be) 難い katai(hard) ARIGATOU is an easy-to-pronounce variation of ARIGATAKU, the concatenated form to a declinable word. Arigataku itadaku (I receive it with gratitude) →abbreviated→ Arigatou Arigatou-gozaimasu(polite form of state, “be”) →casual→ Arigatou Incidentally (in case you enjoy ONE PIECE, Shogun or Ghost of Tsushima), about concatenated form to uninflected word, the archaic word is ARIGATAKI, but the modern word is arigatai. Arigataki koto (thankful/infrequent matter), Arigataki shiawase (grateful/rare happiness) Arigatai koto desu (modern, polite)
Half-foot average lifespan is 50 years and Chillchuck is already 29 years old, means he has reached 58% of his lifespan. Maybe Chilchuck should be the equivalent of 34 years old in Tall-man age because their average lifespan is 60 years. And also the short-lived race *Tall-Man and Half-Foot both take 28% of their lifespan to mature,* while long-lived race *Elves and Dwarves take 20% of their lifespan to mature.* But for Gnomes it was different, their lifespan is 240 years, this race has 40 years old to mature same as Dwarves long-lived race with 200 years lifespan *but they only takes 17% of their lifespan to mature.*
Chilchuck is actually the oldest of them all in the context of the racial lifespan. In term of tallman (human) years, Marcile is still in her late teens, and Senshi is in his twenties. While Chilchuck is basically a 40+ year old divorced father.

not a spoiler, but, by the way the anime adaptation is going, I think they gonna end up this season with the funniest chapter of all! cant wait to watch it!
The dungeon was discovered 6 yrs ago, Senshi’s been exploring and studying foods in the dungeon for 10 years, but senshi in his backstory looked way too young if it was 10 or so years ago. What had he been doing until then and what made him so obsessed with food and eco system in dungeon? I’m so intrigued by his existence
In all honesty, Japanese souffle pancakes were great the first few times, but nowadays I prefer the Hoshino Coffee French Toast or the Pasela ice cream bread.
