I haven't read the manga but, from what you told me, I'm beginning to suspect that senshi might be the missing weapons dealer. Reasons: 1.) He has rare equipment ,(ex-adamantium shield and mithril knife) 2.) He's been underground for a decade 3.) No one knows him beforehand

@@WaffleUn1verse when the time comes, you will know. It is later in the manga that reveals why Senshi is in the dungeon. But that is part of the spoiler, so I can only say that, it will be explained, just probably not now, nor the end of the current season, I think.

​@@WaffleUn1verse Not a spoiler, this has already been established in the anime. The weapons dealer was Namari's father, and Namari saw Senshi and didn't recognize him.

It’s sounded to me like Senshi is a peculiarity amongst dwarves. They tend to be into weapons and ores as their trade but Senshi’s passion is cooking. He kept his axe in terrible condition and had his rare legendary shield turned into a cooking pot. In dwarf society he could be considered weird or the odd one out

​@@m.a.ddragon939 (this is background info from bonuses so not really spoilers) It will be hinted at more in next week's episode, but in dungeon meshi dwarves have a very strong hierachy, and the group you belong to is everything. So with that added context Senshi looks even more odd as an isolated dwarf. But we already got that general statement that people who hide inside the dungeon are usually criminals ect, so it's not really a surprize that Senshi doesn't really fit into society.

It's bc manga readers keep on spoiling the fun for us. Like the previous reply said, "half the fun is learning about the world", but if people keep on "bUt iN tHe mAnGa-!" When noboby was asking them to do so, it's really really difficult to keep ourselves spoiler-free. Been watching anime since i was 13, and when the end to Death Note reached my fb feed, i was furious bc I JUST BOUGHT THE DVD SET THANKS AND FOR MY MOM AS A BDAY GIFT. Annoying and loud manga readers don't know when to SHHHH and to let us have fun with the mystery and with theorizing!!! I love these videos as well, bc i rarely take my time and read manga anymore, so seeing spoiler free theories on anime only fan videos/posts is my favorite thing to do, i just wished manga readers would let us have fun too.

Given Discovered doesn’t mean created at that moment, Senshi being in the dungeon for ten years makes sense. If I remember correctly Senshi mentioned in the episode with the mimics something about the oil from the fire traps being Olive Oil and that at the time again if I recall correctly the region above that floor at the time farmed olives. Hence Olive Oil, either that or it was abundant when the dungeon was being made. Given we’ve seen numerous references to the dungeon being an ecosystem in and of itself and the flashback to Falin and Marcille’s days at magic schools with their Mini dungeons I suspect our favorite Dwarf has been around the bend a few times in the dungeon and been able to see it change as it grew. Meaning he was probably around in the dungeon when it was first discovered and got flooded with adventurers.

Its kind of a Japanese naming convention. Tarou means Eldest son Jiro means Second son and Saburo means third son.

its a play on words meaning "first son" "second son" and "third son" but it shows the nurturing nature that defines senshi that he named his golem farms as if they were children

@@ilhamleo6348 damn that's a great pacing, in general over the season 1 we've got so many great moments to cut off at (like red dragon or Falin fight), dungeon meshi really benefits the 24 episode treatment. The only shame is that with that pacing we might not even get a season 3 since the manga only has ~100 chapters and already finished

This is such a sad story i was so heart ache after reading this chapter in the magna cuz i was so curious i couldn't wait another week for the next episode to drop

Really makes me wonder why did they never considered looking for their remains in the dungeon to revive them, maybe some of shenhi's comrades were already digested and beyond saving or sth. (Haven't finished reading the manga, maybe by some miracle there will be a happy ending for them but I really doubt)
