An excellent Review Sir, a much improved car over the K13 which i found to very disappinting as someone who has owned 2 K11's and K12 micra. My dad owned a K13 and i never really geled with it.
Another excellent video sir. I think the K14 is a huge improvement over the K13. Happy new year to you and wishing you and the channel all the best for 2024.
Sir, I think you are certainly right about that! They had quite different philosophies, and the K14 is a bit closer to what someone would have been expecting from a supermini when they were launched in 2017.
A very underrated car in my opinion! Although the fact I bought a year old 0.9 turbo N-Connecta in 2018 for under £10k just shows how prices have shot up in the meantime. Pleasant to drive, never felt out of its depth on the motorway, it was a perfect commuter car and after a year I sold it for not much less than I paid. It didn't have any parking aids and completely agree the rearward visibility isn't the best, but otherwise it fulfilled its role very well. A shame it has been another casualty of the supermini cull.
The 900cc Turbo would be a far better bet than this non-turbo 1.0, I can assure you. The prices of small petrol cars have risen massively in the last couple of years, which is almost the only market segment where prices are increasing at the moment. Very nice to drive if it had a bit more power. Thank you very much indeed for watching and commenting!
I have just checked, and the Micra is definitely no longer on sale new. Rather like Ford with the Fiesta and Puma, you can still buy a Nissan on this platform, but it is the Juke that starts at around £21,000.
I feel a having a soft touch dash, but a plastic steering wheel is rather the wrong way around. I'm sure either a higher trim level or later car would resolve this with a nicer steering wheel, though.
Plenty of small cars do actually still use four cylinder engines, but the fashion these days does tend to be for the three cylinder units on the whole.
