I buy classic shields depending on the agent im using but i feel like i hit more headshots with the classic than the ghost and the right click comes in handy with some weird ass neon buying shorty round 1

As a close-in player, you don't need specific agents to get close, use what you got to get whatever distance you can by running with your flashes, sneaking with smokes and walls (any cover available to you), whatever mobility you have access to, or the situation that you are in. Use what you got and make the best out of it. Both you and the world are your weapons, use them and win.

If you go classic light armour pistol round and don’t get hit, you still have light armour second round and can get a better gun like an AR + util (even if you have 0 extra credits from kills in first round)

I feel like my classic is in the "in-between" category. It sometimes eorks and sometimes doesnt. My accuracy sucks eith it and ghost works better for longer distance

my problem with running classic light shield round 1 is that regardless its gonna take 2 shots minimum to kill someone. buuuttt if you run a ghost and ablities, while yes you are more prone to the sheriff, going against a sheriff is still in your favor because its a 1 shot headshot and you have a faster fire rate with the ghosts and plus anybody who also runs a ghost is 1 shot head shot. the only times it'll be 2 shot is if you are far enough away or its a classic light wielding enemy in which it is also equal footing. so in my opinion base on these reasons i feel that ghost is the best way to go round 1. and round 2 is always outlaw, shit is 1 shot to anyone who forces

Classic full util is statistically the Best Buy for pro play with ghost as second best and classic w/armor as worst. Id only really buy classic armor on omen and MAYBE viper. Ghost is definitely the safest bet for ranked but full util is very strong on most agents

The argument that a ghost vs classic with shields is an equal fight just doesnt hold water, the ghost is much more accurate and more lenient with recoil and clip size. This advatage one cost 100 credits more than light shields and theres a lot of util where that price difference doesnt matter

What you’re not factoring in for your ghost classic comparison is once you take any bit of chip the ghost is instantly better (plus the faster fire rate, bigger mag, better accuracy, and smoke spam) Ghost>classic in most situations unless you wanna buy full util
