I like it!! Great tutorial. My 40 should be here this week. I'm thinking it will be better for youth sizes. Still debating the Addi. I have a tip for you that I learned...when your knitted piece gets long enough to touch the surface (table), I roll it up, bringing the weight back up, resulting in less chance of dropped stitches. Unfortunately, dropped stitches do happen and it's not fun! However, the Sentro is really not bad about dropped stitches unless I try to use 4 wt. yarn. As long as I use 3 wt., I usually don't have any issues. I would really like to use 4 wt. yarn and am wondering if perhaps the Addi would be better for that. ?? It's all a learning process. These machines are so fun tho!

I didn’t know much about this product so after buying my family members all their gifts I saw it for half the price at Walmart. Or so I thought. The one I bought at Walmart was only 16 pins. So it was either for child/baby hats or adult gloves/mittens. So as you can imagine, I needed to buy a new one to make hats my size. I finally did, and it’s perfect for my Christmas in July, holiday movie and winter themed baking time. Even though it’s summer, I can get a lot more done now, without all the holiday stress. But my main point is that, you may think 40 needles is small, but to me it’s huge. More than double my tiny 16 pins that I have been depending on for the last 6 months. Don’t get me wrong, I love my 16 pin sentry, but I am definitely excited to try something new!

Hii. I have the 40, but ordered the 48. The hats were small. So I am interested on how you are going to show us the comparisson. I beleave the knitting needle is to use for a stitch holder to take the hat off the machine, the turn it inside out, and attach the hat bach on to make textured hats. I seen it on youtube. Too advanced for me. Lol Thank you for sharing.

Thanks for this post!! I have been wanting one of these, but can't find one locally, a d online they are shipped from China. After my sister's experience ordering a similar item that turned out being from China, unknown to her at time of purchase, I am very hesitant to order.
