Interesting, it runs from a Crown XTi2 power amp and an inverter power source, which is similar to what the Loudoun ES-2000 sirens do. Seems like they were testing it at very low volume, which is fine but doesn't give an idea of coverage. I'm sure when it's turned up, it works great. I like that they were willing to give you a very close look at the interior of the cabinets. The person from the fire department is being very generous with his time, which is much appreciated - willing to serve the public in the smallest things. Ultra-Hyperspike now sells a control cabinet that is more integrated like what ATI, Whelen, Federal Signal, etc. are using, called the Encompass system.
Suggestion: Robinson, TX has some WPS-2000-16s that I'm 99% sure are analog. They test on the first friday of every month at 10:00am. They might be doomed to be replaced in the next couple of years
Would be ridiculously easy. This thing is literally just a set of home theater speaker drivers on a pole. It isn't even designed like it's trying to be a siren 😭. Literally just a set of normal speakers (not even compression drivers) stuck in a sealed enclosure and put on a pole.
