It is a prequel tho, Seoul station begins the night before Train to Busan. It ends sometime in the early morning which leads into the day of Train to Busan.

Seok woo and Su-An made it to Seoul station while it was nighttime, just before the outbreak occurred here in Seoul station, su-an catches sa glimpse of people dying because of the zombies, by this time Seoul station should be starting. Peninsula happens a day after in a different part in South Korea, as a military man is driving his sister, nephew and brother in law to a ship that is about to sail off to Hong-Kong. And infected man gets in the ship and infects the man’s nephew and sister and only the brother in law and the main character are left along with a lot of other survivors who weren’t in the cabin.

Well, you have to realize that at the beginning, most of the infected were homeless people from the subway as they were the most susceptible. There were a lot of homeless in the subways. As stations usually have many exit points, it's reasonable to have a large amount of people infected in minutes.

All I’m saying is that the least they could do is actually *show* the infection beginning to spread, just showing the old man’s first victims turning and them infecting others to at least say “oh, this is gonna escalate quickly” instead of the next scene they appear in being literal tsunamis of zombies like “holy shit where did these guys come from?” I guess it does show that the virus is a force to be reckoned with, but it still peeves me off when zombie movies go from warning signs to full on outbreaks without some kind of transition like 2004’s dawn of the dead, that’s why train to busan’s outbreak scene was so good (and the plane scene from WWZ, if you don’t mind dramatically shaky camera shots, and there’s another good outbreak scene in block Z)

no plot hole at all imo. it is completely reasonable that the infection would spread through something like that, since the zombie scratching her could've had infected tissue or blood under its nails. while a bite with lots of blood and saliva involved would spread the infection faster, an infection via scratch would take longer, especially if it's at the foot. so infection via deep enough scratches (which was the case here) is neither a plot hole nor as uncommon than you think in zombie media in general. also every story delivers its plot differently, even if you have prequels and sequels, the rules always slightly change and some people just have plot armor.
