I was loosely a Christian when I first got married and even though I had misgivings I got married anyway. Ive struggled in my walk but have come back to the Lord. My husband is nominally a Christian if at all. Its hard and I'm ready to walk away but I'm stuck where I am now. If God weren't with me I know I couldn't keep going. Each day I'm growing stronger and though I struggle and still cry my eye is on Him. Bloom where I've been planted. I pray for my family and talk about my faith and God despite the wedge others try to bring forth. Staying focused on Him.
NOW I clearly understand what the Bible means when it says "Do not be UNEQUALLY yoked together with unbelievers!" The unbelievers are those who are involved in false religions, lost and walking in darkness, distorting and twisting Scripture, hating the TRUTH yet calling themselves Christians! Thank you, Pastor John, for allowing the Lord to use you to explain these things! Glory to God!!!❤
Amen! I am totally convicted of this myself after much study, prayers, & supplication. Compromise comes fm the enemy.. the only promise compromise brings in being unequally yolked w/the world/pagans; is destruction. Favor & blessing come fm real relationship w/Him & Him alone, in being SET APART. For His purposes. We were not meant to blend in but to be lights. The blessings are not for us, but for the world to see Him through us. To be His hands & feet. Being set apart helps us have the emotional energy, time, & resources to do the Lord’s work whereas being unequally yolked brings even more worldly people into your life.. & w/it pagan concerns & before you know it, your energy is sapped & you are too grieved or burdened to do the Lord’s work. There’s a lot of reasons to be set apart, but the main one being He has simply told us to do so & also not to be unequally yolked w/this world. We go out into the world w/intention to plant & water.. we do not become part of it; ever. 1) don’t be unequally yolked 2) be set apart 3) don’t give up gathering together w/the saints 4) follow Christ & pick up your cross 5) Jesus will make you a fisher of men 😍

Or what fellowship can light have with darkness?What harmony is there between Christ and Belial? Or what does a believer have in common with an unbeliever?What agreement is there between the temple of God and idols? For we are the temple of the living God. As God has said: "I will live with them and walk among them, and I will be their God, and they will be my people."Therefore, "Come out from them and be separate, says the Lord. also separate from false teachers who say its ok to have xmas and all those other pagan rites like John and many other 'reformers'. You cant change the Word of God and expect it to be holy. do not be unequally yoked with your teacher either.
You dont stop reading bible, because a bunch of preachers misuse the Holy word. Likewise, It is an utmost joy to celebrate the birth of our saviour. If you choose not to do it that's fine, but don't cry over people who do celebrate!
Whether this is a true teaching or nlt he still teaches false doctrine and is not of God!! He will have you taking the mark of the beast thinking you can still be saved and that is not the case!!
Stay away from Unbelievers!! No matter how nice they appear, they are wicked and bring darkness all around. These are unbelievers. They are idol worhshippers like Isam, Hinduism, Jewish, Shintoism, Daoism, etc. Separate yourselves or face the consequence. Let them stay in their own country. No matter how nice and rich they are, separate yourself and flee evil.

Feeling led to share. God has removed me from my past friends for They're lifestyles and believs are completely wordly and opposite to Christ our Lord. One, when we spoke, her voice was sooo sweet loving and gentle. Speaking of coming together in unity and love, praying for peace around a 'sacred' fire. While she was talking God showed me the devil in contrast to jer sweet 'loving' voice. Indeed all of them sound so sweet and loving, as if tempting. I seek to do my father's will. And now that he showed me also through scripture how much he hates these kinds of worships and lrayers I cannot lie. God bless you with His truth and loving loyal guidance He has for you, for His own name and glory. I believe yes it is! We should have friends who are at least good but we can be apart of them believing “one day”. If we can only have believer friends, that’s a really tiny pool and will that be an impact at all of this big world?? Other thoughts are welcomed.
No! That is what the Bible says is a bad tradition. You become like those people you're socialize with! And Jesus said: What has darkness in common with the Light? What does an unbeliever have in common with a believer? Etcetera... They think and talk like the world. Bcs this world is their everything...

It's ok to have friends who are unbelievers but they are not good. Give them the good news of God's grace and call them to repentance. If they deny the gospel how can they be a true friend ? Hence, do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers.

It might come a time to distance ourself even from them, but only if they are showing hate or decpice towards you bcs of Jesus! Otherwise we're maybe the only one they know that’s christians! We love them and we're praying for them! Try to show them who Jesus is!v
You stay with them and love them and try to show them who Jesus is when you feel its the right time, which i believe you already done. and you keep on praying for them. But we do n o t cut our relationship with our children if not needed! I think Mc Arthur talks about wordly friends and maybe not to marry an unbeliever but so do also Paul and i think you already know what he said about that matter.
@@2Chor5_13 What does Scripture say? Jesus said, there will be division in be family! We are commanded to not be unequally yoked! I did not come to bring peace but a sword! We are commaned to be holy! No matter the cost or loss! If you we love mother, father, son, daughter, more than Christ, we are not worthy! And context is everything!
@@Psalm119-50 Had to separate from mine. Still pray for them, of course, but they are barreling down the broad path and I'm in the narrow one. Others have rejected the gospel. My family are those who are in the family of God. If I had to live with them, as I do my false believer spouse, I would do as God commands, being meek and quiet spirit and humble and gentle, not quarrelsome, apt to teach. I don't eat at the table with my spouse and sleep with my head at foot of bed. He is presently a liar, deceiver, manipulator: a tare. I pray for him and am as peaceful as possible, but fellowship is impossible. I have tried and it's like shaking hands with the devil. Always backfires to my detriment. He's like a Judas. I pray for him and will take care of him and wash his feet. I feed him. I'm kind to him. But I literally can't fellowship with him, there's nothing there to fellowship with. I pray God grant him repentance. "While he yet talked to the people, behold, his mother and his brethren stood without, desiring to speak with him. Then one said unto him, Behold, thy mother and thy brethren stand without, desiring to speak with thee. But he answered and said unto him that told him, Who is my mother? and who are my brethren? And he stretched forth his hand toward his disciples, and said, Behold my mother and my brethren! For whosoever shall do the will of my Father which is in heaven, the same is my brother, and sister, and mother." Matthew 12:46-50. I avoid, ignore, rebuke, correct, teach and live as godly as I can. I help him when needed, but no watching TV with him or chatting about sports and coins and cars. My citizenship is in heaven.
