Her tips on preparing ahead of time are great for those of us caught in the rat race of life. Plan time to slow down and enjoy simple pleasures.

You should see Rabbi Tovia Singer's RU-vid channel and understand why Jews read the Bible differently and also learn how you as a nonjew can fulfill your role in creating the tikkun olam, world to come, that G-d wants when the messiah comes. G-d created a covenant with the nonjews starting with Noah where nonjews have 7 sets of laws to follow. Later, G-d made the covenant with the Jews and gave them 613 laws. Jews and nonjews each have a unique role to play in G-d's redemption of the world.

Thank you for sharing your secrets and recipes. You are just lovely. Truly, I don't know how you get everything done. One secret weapon you have now is beautiful Miriam and of course your handsome husband. Prayers and blessings from my family to yours.🕯

I love your videos. I always learn something. I would be very interested in learning about the blessing of the bread you did. I think it is very important to fix something special for yourself. We always make sure to fix our loved ones favorites, so we need to do the same for ourselves. Tomorrow night’s supper is going to be one of my favorites. Everyone else is just okay with it. I fix their favorites on a regular basis, so I don’t feel like I am asking that much from them to have one of mine once every month or two. I pray you have a blessed week and and a wonderful Shabbat this week.

So true Shawn! It’s practicing a little self care by putting out pallets into the equation occasionally

I love making sumac and red onion salad with cucumbers and cherry tomatoes. I also make a variety of them each time. I do one with sumac and a dill and yogart and dill sauce with garlic and it's amazing when you add a little bulgur and aleppo pepper.

Challah is the best bread I've tasted. I'm Christian, but it's insightful to learn about Judaism :)

Shalom all… watching you bake is pretty therapeutic… calming. I was curious… my husband is the challah maker here… always has been as well, his mom taught her sons to cook which helps me a whole lot. We all work … Balance. You make doing it all look easy and can I just say .. A PROOF setting on your oven? That’s livin eh? Hope you had a blessed Passover … many blessings.. mazel Tov on your hard efforts in making these videos Ps… I eat what I want so your go girl! Eat that eggplant! I’ve eaten a hamburger on Shabbat while everyone eats curry. Hey, we are all human

Absolutely make things that only you like as well as foods that your family likes, and I’ve been know to make the things that one or two that kids like. Our Christmas table will have smaller foods that certain people/ peoples like. I also try to make a little extras of what we each like so I have left overs if what I like, my husband likes, and the kids can take their leftovers home.

i grew up kosher but my husband and i are not kosher in our home but kosher style. We never ever mix meat and dairy and our kids grew up this way, no milk at meals, no cheeseburgers etc..healthy and love it...also i grew up with that exact eggplant dish . My grandmother would make it along with pickled green peppers and my mother made those and now i make them, only i eat those 2 dishes but they are part of who i am. My kids do love eggplant, just not a fan of the charbroiled style. Love your videos and thank you for sharing your recipes...i will be making challah for my family...im sure theyll love it! ( it is very difficult to be Kosher in an area where very few Jewish people live , we are far out into the boonies..so we do our best)
