I cannot remember the last time I shopped at Sephora and it has been YEARS since I was rouge. I'm just so much more particular about what I want now and most of the time I can either find better deals elsewhere or Sephora does not carry what I'm looking forward. Example: my new favorite brand is Rituel De Fille and their products are AMAZING but its always the most cost effective to buy directly from them and use a discount code.
I’ve mostly been buying Asian skin care either online (yes style) or finding them at tjmaxx/marshalls and I haven’t looked back. I have the kosas pink setting powder in my cart and other backups. Fun times!
I will be picking up some staples. Lancome Bi Facil, Sephora cotton squares, PM under eye powder and Sunday Riley CEO rapid flash serum. I plan to try some travel perfumes. I am always happy to get 20% off some of my staples. The Huda powder is finely milled. It works great for my oily skin. Have a great week ❌️ ⭕️
I need to try that powder! My skin has always been so oily. I love me a good solid setting powder to control that. So far all the oily girls say they love it so I'm excited to try it! But I may get the pound cake shade.... the pink seems very pink.
Huda Easy Bake is my holy grail! It’s so good! My shade is Cupcake. I’m wanting to get the Huda Easy Blur Liquid Foundation and primer as well as the Tatcha Overnight Repair cream. 😊
I would not get the Cherry Blossom shade of the Huda powder. I’ve seen quite a few people using it, and it always looks like they just slapped blush under their eyes. The pink shade of the Tower28 powder is just barely pink; it performs more closely to a translucent shade. I’d also skip on the skincare (unless something is a tried and true fave of yours already); Korean skincare is where it’s at!
I probably wouldn't use the Huda just under my eyes but all over for brightening. I may change up the shade tho, we shall see. I think there is a light yellow shade that might be a pretty perfect match for my skin. I am looking to absorb oil, not bake anything on my face. Unfortunately all this skincare on the list are my holy grails and I need backs ups lol so those have to come home to me lol. Some things I will not be without. But I do love me Korean skincare as well! I usually go to Yes Style to order that.
As a 41 year old gal with oily skin and big pores I definitely recommend the Huda setting powder, I have the shade Cherry Blossom and it looks fine on me but I also have a medium skin tone.
Firstly, I totally relate on the lack of sleep and freaking perimenopause issues--such fun!! I have gone down the pink powder rabbit hole the last year or so. As a combination/oily lady, I really like the Huda loose powder! I recently purchased the Tower 28 pressed powder and use it mainly for touch ups. I also recently purchased the Makeup by Mario loose powder - it is a softer pink than the Huda powder. It is also quite lovely. My rationale for having all of them is that they serve slightly different purposes (I am a bad influence, sorry!). The Huda powder is great for setting makeup and helps with the oily skin situation, the Tower 28 powder is good for touch ups (and for tossing in your purse), and the Mario powder is so pretty for under the eyes. Hope that helps!! My Sephora wishlist cart is a little out of control, too!! 🤣 Edited to add: I forgot to mention the One/Size brand's loose powder. It is fantastic - - so good for oily skin and there are several different shades/colours available. It is the most affordable option, as well.
Thanks for your take on it. So far it seems to be going over well so i am intrigued that there are a couple people now who don't like it. I do love me a strong scent personally.....
I went into Sephora this past weekend and I was honestly disappointed by the NEST Vanilla Bourbon? I don’t understand where the good reviews are coming from 😅 it was very basic and honestly just forgettable. Maybe there were too many other scents floating around in the air.
I think you are the first one to say it's not worth it. Honestly that makes me more curious about it lol! Good reviews are great but dissenting reviews honestly make me wanna try it more haha! Thanks for your take on it. Super curious to check it out.
I use the faded by topicals. I think it’s helping to lighten my melasma. The one thing though, it smells awful. I mean awful awful. For sleep have we talked about magnesium glycinate? I take it every night and it helps with my sleep and muscle cramps.
Hi Melanie!! ❤ ok lawless lip balm went into my cart! I ordered their set with the pot lip balm and the gloss in the shade Buns 😂 bc I looked at it in store and the gloss is gorgeous and they both smell like cinnamon bun gingerbread goodness! 🤗. I love when you do these videos! I have both the transluscent Ami Cole powder and the Huda Powder and for your skin type you’ll love the Huda! I love the Huda too, it’s not drying on my undereyes and my skin type is not dry or oily. The Ami Cole…meh every time I use it I feel like my undereyes look dry and nowhere near as good as they do with the Kosas (breezy). I use it and put it away and then remember oh yeah this is looking kinda dry but not feeling dry…it’s not as matte as the Huda. I’m super interested in the Montale perfumes 🤗. I remember you mentioned a vanilla one before…which are your fave Montale scents? I know Sephora doesn’t have all of them but the Lucky Candy has my attention! 🩷💕 ps I also got the new lawless palette early and there’s this sparkly cool toned purpley color oh my goshhhh it’s gorgeous and worth the whole palette just for that 😂
Glad that the Huda has your stamp of approval! I am most excited about that one honestly. I love the Vanilla Montal scents! SO glad they came to sephora! I love them. They are potent!
Love the Sephora sales but 🇨🇦 problems here, Ulta won’t ship to Canada anymore. I’m buying a lot of replacements for stuff I used up or feel is too ancient for safety. I’m getting a couple of new lipsticks and a blush called Mood by Merit and a Bobbi Brown eye crayon in Bone.
I know what you mean about those old products. It's time to get rid of anything that's expired. It’s not worth the risk! I have to do a major lipstick declutter and its making me cringe... so many probably need to go.
I was not into the new glossier scents. I sprayed both of them at the same time - one on each arm - and disliked both. I don’t really know what my thoughts were - just that I didn’t think that either of them was me and it was an immediate no.
I'm glad you gave them a try though! Appreciate the feedback. If I do not like it, it will go back. I should see if they carry it in store and sniff it out first.
