@@montananerd8244 In the past a creator's audience could submit captions so that it wouldn't just be the auto gen stuff. I don't know why they took it away but it made a big change in accessibility 🙃🙃
I vote for a video at the end of the series where you tell us which of the new things you tried you liked! Love the discovery aspect of the advent calendars.
Before the holidays next year, it would be neat if you updated us on any full size products you purchased based on trying all of these advent calendar samples!
The Good Genes from the UK (your full size bottle) is different from the American version. The American one is lactic acid, and the UK one is glycolic acid. I haven't tried the glycolic one, but the lactic acid one is amazing. Just thought you should know there is a difference!
Oh interesting, esp considering how much more potent glycolic tends to be. Haha I bet we have tougher skin that you Brits, at least out here in the west where the wind is INSANE (Chicago is NOT the hub of wind in usa, it has normal wind...it's a political joke, it's calling Chicago "BS City.").

@@KristenZianourry2015 I’m in the UK and our Sephora calendar may cost more but it’s 25 days, 36 products and 23 of them were full size. I just think it’s a bigger deal over here every year so there’s more options. Even when I look at other advent calendars here at the same price it’s just better, I think the lack of full sized products is sad and not value for money.

I remember a while ago walking in London past a huge ad for the shoe-shaped perfume, all-black design I think.. & thinking OMGosh that design is kinda jarring & ugly - just my opinion as I am also not a heeled shoe girl!! But then my colleague had a gift delivered to the place we were working at & it was the large bottle of the exact perfume I'd seen on the way in - she was so excited and loved it so much!
These Advent Calendar unboxing videos are so much fun to watch. We most definitely have better Advent Calendars in the UK. I’m not sure if you have Space NK in the US but they have an awesome fragrance advent calendar. I’ve treated myself to the Space NK fragrance and Selfridges Calendars this year. I am so excited to open them in December. 😁🎅☃️🎁❤️xxx
Walmart has started offering aSpaceNK box option. Not every 3 months but once or twice I've had the option to upgrade to the SpaceNK box and was very pleased, especially since it was full of brands Ive seen but never been able to try.
the sephora one was the best out of the three in this video imo. the macys one came across as an advent calendar that would be a good gift for mom or a more "mature" customer base. the anthropologie one is good for clean beauty and fragrance.
The dr. Dennis gross peel pads are amazing! I've received them many times in various boxes or samples etc and i finally bit the bullet and bought the large holiday vault of them from sephora this year during the sale. My skin has been cranky lately and nothing works like they do for me! Also instantly improves the look of my skins texture. They're holy grail status.
I always forget about Macys for beauty but they have a great selection (similar to Nordstrom and Saks) and they do a lot of sales throughout the year. I got some of the new Cle de Peau holiday collection on sale from Macy’s 😊

Hey Lauren, idk if you had already figured it out, but it looked like the full size Good genes you got was the Glycolic version. It's newer to the market. The lactic version (that you got in the minis) is the cult favorite that's been around for awhile. I love it personally. It's the only product I've used that immediaely plumps up my fine lines after using. And of course it has the long term skin refining, evening and brightening benefits. But I'd def like to try the new Glycolic Good Gene's as well.

I use that lotion/toner everyday. I find it works best to shake the bottle and drip a few drops on my face, quickly spreading it around with my hands because it’s very watery. I use it as a base layer before all my other skin care

Slather is an amazing product. I got that little bottle a while back and my 11yo daughter stole it. She has eczema and dry skin issues. She gave me the $30 to buy the full size bc she loves it so much! It does an amazing job keeping her skin soft. I also bought another bottle for her for Christmas. 😊
Grace & Stella eye masks. (The gold ones) Like an energy shot for your eyes lol At least that's what they claim.🤣 BUT I do like them! ❤ I use them every single time I put my makeup on. I have chronic dark under eyes and they help ... A LOT! HIGHLY RECOMMEND 👍 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
The more unhinged you are, the more I wish I was your friend. Also, L! You and I have very similar coloring and I dye my brows at home using Just For Men (haha- I’m not a man, suck it patriarchy!!) in A10. I slather it on my brows and leave it for about 20 minutes. The color takes a bit to develop jsyk. It’s subtle but worth it!! :) ❤ love to you cutie pie!!
I use a ton of Kiehls (they are great for sensitive skin) and there are almost two price tiers for their products. A lot of their older hero products are in the lower price tier, the Ultra Facial Cleanser and Ultra Facial Cream, the Avocado Eye Cream, the Rare Earth Clay mask, and I have SO MANY deluxe samples of all of them bc they are thrown into a lot of those free sample bags from Ulta and Nordstoms (they are great though). The one you got is one of the higher price range products so I actually think that is a pretty good item for the calendar and less common than the others. I've never used it but their products are very safe for all skin types. I think they don't get a ton of hype bc they are in general a little less potent but I have sensitive skin and can always count on Kiehls to never cause any irritation.
I tried one of those aha wipe combos and was so impressed with how my skin looked afterwards that I almost went through with buying a 60 pack 😅 it's hella expensive but I was justifying it to myself as self care

I actually really like the Dr. Dennis Gross packet masks. I find it really makes a difference. I loved the Anthropologie and Sephora advent calendars. I wish I could get my hands on either one! Great video!
My bank account may be kinda happy that the Anthro advent calendar is sold out because that looks like fun. I love the larger perfume samples because it gives me a chance to play around with scents that are out of my usual profile to see if they grow on me. Might have to keep an eye out for it next year.
The PTR Firmx is a go to product I’ve been using for almost 5 years. I love it so much, gone through several full sizes and they last forever. It makes my skin feels so baby soft and instantly gets rid of dead skin. I will say you have to use a nice moisturizer afterwards but specifics don’t matter here anything works. It really does instantly peel away the stress of the day. 10/10 recommended for a bad skin day.
When it comes to perfume, I much prefer the sampler sets that come with a voucher rather than a bunch of random deluxe sample/minis. I don’t want the value to come from a collection of scents I don’t like and no voucher.

You are hilarious to watch! I ended up getting the Macys calendar yesterday because it’s currently half price but not sure if I would have paid full price for it. I definitely like the Sephora better than Macys at $99. Thankfully I managed to get the Anthropologie calendar before it sold out because I heard good things about it. Also got that one at a discount for signing up for the store loyalty program. I bought both calendars for my daughters but may have to steal a few things from the Anthropologie one for myself😅.
If you got the first one on the sale price of $45, with the fullsize item at $43, it absolutely is worth the money, but i think most of the calendars are not worth the money theyre charging people, and yeah, a cute little bottle is not too much to ask for a perfume.... it supposed to be pleasant surprises, and samples of products to promote them so you might buy....and yeah....if theyre putting in a beauty blender, a fullsize one And the little eye one, but no, not just that disappointing little thing in the big pocket, its like they were going to put a real one in and then thought, oh, we can cut corners on the price and stick this tiny one in...and a GXVE red lipstick!! I always think of red lippie with Gwen Stafani!

I picked up the selfridges calendar at your recommendation. I knew I wanted a boujie one but couldn't decide between a few. I'm sitting staring at it, can't wait for the 1st!
I got my brows microbladed and it is life changing seriously. All I have to do is keep them cleaned up and I wake up and go with perfect eyebrows. I also had some scarring where hair wouldn't grow and you would never know it now.
I used the Grande lash serum for years, but i got the lash serum from elf when it launched, and im ngl, my lashes got longer but they dont fall out like they did using Grande, my lash lines arent sensitive like they were, and the Grande serum always made my eye lids and around my eyes darker, and since i switched to the elf serum the darkness went away🙌
OmG the MFL one y Easter day was wiiiild. I’m very very curious about the dossier advent. I have a lot of their fragrances & my body eats through perfume so I rly wish Alt or Oakcha would do one; I’ve just learned extraits help lasting immensely. Wish there was an unboxing of dossier one, not yet though. This has been SUCH a fun series to watch. Love it.
