Seplos BMS is an excellence BMS, stop complaining DMI INC about it. You can't do or design it but you to complain.

No, not at all. The software lacks a lot, the balancing is not really working. Check Andy's series about the fraud on off-grid garage in australia when they had shipped 3 year old LFP cells to him in this summer - qr code said built in 2019 . And there had been more isssues . No, not a monday built BMS cause he had purchased 2 differet SEPLOS batteries, the 6,9 kWh Mason full diy kit incl. cells and the bigger one without cells for the EVE LF280K cells. Same issues and struggles.

I have seen many unnecessary disrespectful messages on this post in fact I think that your observations are very professional and I would strongly agree on the subject of the bus bars, being a mechanical engineer, I did cringe watching Ray using the toque wrench on those, in my opinion, inadequate fastening screws. I'll be looking forward to your developments on the usage of this BMS as I am now constructing my PV system with a temporary 5.1kWh "microwave ready" battery for testing purposes to then progress to building my own 300ah one having just spoken to Jenny wo about the cells thanks to the generous input of our friend Ray. Thanks again for sharing 🙏

Thank you. You do know your stuff... Imagine heavy gauge wire or two hanging on those connections. It can easily rip connectors apart from PCB.

I think the Seplos BMS, with intergrated shunt and pre-charge resistor, is an excellent BMS, especially with the intelligence to communicate with other BMS's in a string. I currently use HELTEC/JK 200/2amp active BMS's, which will be replaced with the Seplos if they test well. I look forward to your testing and integration.

I think you will be fine with the screw connections. When you run the wire, Dont let it be stressin on the board itself. Also I think you can run 3 wires from each side of the connections. You should be fine for carrying current. Most of the ones I see are doing 100 amps or 200 at max. You should be fine without any modifications. Might want to consider that because of warranty purposes. Just in case. Because they may not honor warranty if you make modifications to the product.

The current shunt would be much better as a separate shunt with just two small gauge sense wires brought into BMS board. You could unsolder it and provide your own separate shunt.

You can solder threaded terminals to the other BMS with the unknown wires. Just like the 6 silver ones in the Seplos BMS.

Better check the seplos website and be aware that support of canbus is not enough, cause each inverter manufacturer has different can bus dialects. Growatt has even 2, one for their offgrid series (1.05) and 1.01 for their grid tied series SPH. Canbus is not enough.

Posts on diysolarforum suggest this is not a one-off occurrence.
