16th Street Junction was the Junction between the North Pennsylvania Railroad (which you are on, which became The Reading) and the Philadelphia, Germantown, and Norristown Railroad. That railroad also built the Chestnut Hill Branch. some of the stations on the Chestnut Hill branch date to the 1860-70s.
I've been living in the Midwest for the last two years and they bus lines suck for real now I admit that it's a nice place to live as far as the environment and the people plus the buses are alot cheaper to get on but it's no place like home and I miss taking the trains and the trolleys I miss my city Philadelphia
I love the Regional Rail, but only rode it Mostly between Fern Rock and Suburban on Weekends. I'm still waiting to see whether or not the Silverliner 6 will be bi-level cars like the ones under NJ Transit.
