I remember seeing a bolide in person when I was a teenager. It was during a public night at an observatory and it absolutely blew me away. I've been an astronomy nut ever since.

(i think it's bcuz it's a time-lapse, but cool nonetheless 🤙) ( i saw an actual "bolide" once, at night. had never seen anything like that b4, was freakin' intense broh lol. looked like a giant damn basketball with a trail of fire 🔥🔥🔥, all the way across the sky, then suddenly explodes, (dramatically, i might add, lol), & shatters into pieces, like it either had a timer/switch, or hit an invisible wall. looked like a piece of the dang moon came flying in yo...)
😳yikes, I tink recently saw one too but I aint sure cos it didn'T "dramatically explode"? altho it lit up at least 1x during its flight. if you look at the 1 in the vid here you can see some kinda dust in the next frames so that seems to be some huge thing. also its flight was so long that the brother next to me could notice me, so I turn around and still could see more than half of its flight.
saw the exact same thing, a ball o fire that was leaving slower sparkles behind, and then a vanishing explosion where it stoped. Looked like a real fireball
