I can't come up with the right words to tell you that in this media-hype world we live in, you are the genuine article; a true overlander that others only pretend to be. We'll be here in 2021,22, whenever. Quality is always worth the wait.
All the best from France, where my 109 landy and i dream while watching your great videos . Here there's no outback, it's no more possible to be lost ,middle of nowhere, but at least, you manage to make me feel what it means and you do it perfectly ! thanks
We watch you almost every day, I swear. You’re awesome 👏👏👏👏 We are on lockdown here on the Mornington Peninsula. Can’t wait for more of your videos. Please stay safe 👍
Hey mate, thanks for the update. You're very authentic and honest, and I look forward to future VLOGs. Keep on keeping on and do what you need to do. I wouldn't mind a VLOG on your fruit picking :) Maybe another walk-around your vehicle, packing and so on.
Hi Brett, whilst you’re close to the coast you could snap out a film on Fraser, Morton or Straddie. Plenty of Qld’er have 4x4’s and live close by, but lack the confidence to enjoy their own back yard. Perhaps British off Road or Mr Automotive could sponsor a pretrip service or new piece of kit to keep the truck reliable.
Cheers for the update Brett. Was questioning how you were filling in your time whilst avoiding COVID-19. No need to publish any content regularly, just stay safe and well. 👍👍🇭🇲
Hey Brett, love your work. I follow an American called "Venture 4wd". He has a similar style to yours with incredible footage quality. He manages to put out 1 video per week. Just thought maybe you could copy his style and put out more videos. I would love to see you do this full time.
Brett love your work, would be good to see another update or the year in review or something. Would even be cool to see you at your daily life fruit picking gardening whatever when you are not travelling because seems to be all part of the experience. Hope you are keeping well and you get back on the road soon!
Nice one Brett, it’s good to do an update like this so people don’t think the channel is dead and unsubscribe. Look forward to the next video whenever that may be. Enjoy the time being grounded as well, as it can be tiring being on the move all the time! /John
Nice to see your update. It's great you check in with the community. Look forwards to following your new adventures when they come along. Stay safe too Brett. #littlegreenlandy
2022? Ah, you're killing me. Maybe we should pass the hat around, Brett. We need you back on the road as soon as able. Glad you're doing well and good to hear from you.
Great to hear from you Brett, we are all a bit challenged producing content at the moment with the travel restrictions, but it can only improve from here! Stay safe mate. Warren and Colleen.
Cheers Brett, good luck with the saving. Maybe you could film some day trips from where you are. As a Tasmanian , that is all we are doing at the moment. Its really refreshing to explore your own local region. I love your vids and keep on putting them up
Awesome. I think its really great you are documenting these remote areas in their current state, as I feel no one has done so in this format. Who knows what this amazing part of the world looks like in the (near) future...
very true. Hadn't really thought of that. The films Malcolm Douglas filmed are an epic history lesson of our country, perhaps mine will be too in 40 years.
Hi Brett mate, knew you were busy with some kind of work. We will stay tuned for your travels over Australia 👍 in the meantime stay safe good luck with the job 👌👍✌🐾
Good for you young felah, for me life is a journey and you really just got to go with it,hopefully our boss gives you more good opportunity's to get out and about in the near future, for me i was stuck in Victoria this year,l hope to travel your way next year if everything goes well, you have got age on your side so enjoy these rare events and we all will look back and say wooo.
Hi Brett! Thank you so much for your videos and all of the beauty, knowledge and time you share with us. I have a couple of questions, do you ever get scared when you are alone at night? I think this would be my biggest mental challenge. Also do you ever use any of the local plants as bush tucker? This topic fascinates me. You are so loveable because of your authenticity and genuine manner. You are one of my main inspirations for travelling the bush. Good luck with saving, wishing you all the best. Clare
Hi Clare. Fairly rare I get scared now. On a couple occasions I heard a pack of wild dogs coming in my direction, another a pack of dingoes surrounding my camp, both at night. But I just hopped inside my car so no problems. Also have had gun fire going off in national parks in NSW, which was probably hunting season.. otherwise, nothing too much to be afraid of. No bush tucker plants for me. As a solo traveller, if I misidentify a plant and get sick, there's noone around to get me to a towns clinic.. so don't take the risk.. I did used to carry some tucker guides with me to look about, but I'm too busy filming to get the time to explore the plants. Thanks!
@@RoamingTheOutback Thanks for your reply, yes that makes a lot of sense, a very logical and realistic approach. Well I think you're very brave, not a lot of people could do it alone. Take care!
Thank’s Brett, good to know you are doing well. Nothing much can happen without money, so you are fortunate to have picked up job and on the coast too! Have some fun on or near the water. Good luck and safe travels.
Good to hear from you Brett! And looking at reruns of your catalogue over the last few months every so often keeps me very entertained. Can't wait to you see your new stuff!
Oh, yes it is September already. I am glad that you are doing well. I spent most of time this year home and used it repairing my old Defender. That old truck served me well through 25 years now. At the moment we are changing its old 2.5 TD (19J-1989) engine into 300 TDi. Hope it won't last too long for it to be completed. I miss my mountains very much ... for to visit them, that truck is extremely important. I believe you understand that well. Thanks for your uploads.
Well done on 25 years of ownership. You must know every bolt by now. Hope the conversion is trouble free. A little more power for you up those mountains.
good to hear from you mate. really enjoy your approach to "nothing is happening, so no vlogs". keeps it real whilst showing that quality lives in intention not compulsiveness (to just create content)
Thanks for the update Brett. You look well mate. Feel free to film any day trips or weekends away in your local area mate. I for one love your content and miss it to be honest I have watched every other one of your films a hundred times 🤣🤣 All the Best mate and stay safe 🤙
You'll love Lawn Hill and Diamondtina. But a genuine warning : The mud at Diamondtina is deadly. If you get an abrasion or cut whilst in bare feet it can kill you quick. I know a man it happened to when he was working at the park. He got bogged, dug himself out, grazed his leg with his shovel and 3 days later he was dead from soil infection. RIP Fred.
Hi Brett, was wondering what you have been up to. Hope the Defender is going well. I am about to rebuild the gearbox, transfer, injector pump and turbo on my 130 so I'll be working and saving for the next adventure too. What's the contraption behind you?
I think you have a fat chance of being allowed to travel anywhere soon with all the border closures. You probably saw that Leigh and his wife, publishers of the GrizzlynBear channel, aren't allowed back into Australia even though he's a citizen. They are going to be stranded in Japan with their Defender for a very long time. However fee paying Chinese students are welcomed with open arms, or maybe I shouldn't mention that. Here in Europe most borders are open and I send this from wonderful Portugal.
please keep the educational videos coming even if you are not travelling and its a great pleasure to us to learn from that ..may be start a series like" Ask Steve " type..sure we have thousands of questions for you:-)
