Hey guys, slowly catching up on editing footage from last year. This episode is a slow one about the cows mostly, a bit of a novelty in our lives at the time.
Your sweet potato crop was much better than mine in Sydney. I have mine in the same garden bed for a couple of years. Just throw some cow manure on top.
They need some fodder guys and a molasses trough to get them in better condition. I see you have salt lick which is good but a molasses trough will make these cows look amazing. They are not getting enough from your block. Just a heads up having worked cattle.
Hi Brooke and Denis, you've certainly accumulated lots more to care for, regarding the avocado they need lots of depth for the roots, once the roots hit clay they will drown/rot because the clay does not allow water to penetrate any further, a solution to this is to dig down into the clay, add soil 3/4 of the way up, plant the tree at virtually the surface and then mound the soil above it to cover the rest of the root and stake it to keep it sturdy, cheers!!!🥰👍👍👍🙏
Hiiii to Ys BOTH HEY now you’ve got Ys selves a few head of cattle May I suggest you do added research now into using making biochar !!! Yeah a fantastic soil additive that you add to compost now you have cattle them cow pats added reasonably fresh to compost and then when you are going to use your home grown compost you mix with it BIOCHAR you’ll more than double perhaps triple your yields please look into it after I see you are starting to go into making biochar and on your property it’s so easy and no cost then 😊😊😊 I’ll make more comments on Biochar
when are you guys having a bubba?... you'll both make great parents and its the best choice you will ever make kids are a gift that bring so much joy into your life..... my only regret is not having more than the the 3 I have.
I could imagine what those cows were saying as you made them chase you down the drive way for that handful of hay. I don't think they were saying anything nice, 😂
