Kevin Finkenbiner will provide a detailed look at Hosmer Lake. Hosmer Lake is one of our club outings in September and is always one of our favorite trips.
Hosmer Lake is a Central Oregon gem and a fly-fishing destination lake. Kevin will provide an overview of the lake and what makes it special. The lake is famous for its large brook and rainbow trout, but it can also be a challenging place to fish.
The lake is fly-fishing only and catch and release for all species, so the big fish have seen it all and can be very wily. Kevin will provide tactics, techniques and flies that are proven effective. This will be a fun and interactive presentation and guaranteed to improve your angling success at Hosmer Lake.
Kevin is a Santiam Flycaster board member and, like many of our club members, ranks Hosmer Lake as one of his favorite lakes. Hosmer Lake is one of the first places he fished when he moved to Oregon 7 years ago and he has been going back ever since. He loves the challenge of fishing Hosmer Lake and you will too.
