Data dumps of what? :) I don't know BookScan very well so I am not familiar.

@@benatshepherd You said you had to manually enter each book. I figured there must be lists out there where one or more companies could give you data dumps in a file that you could import. Comic book shops get this from distributors.

​@@AmberLove Ah gotcha, so we manually bring in the book's info from the author, then we have some of it automated using the Nielsen book API to pull in what we can semi-automated. But we still have to manually source a high definition book cover image since the publishers use such small formats there that would be blurry. And we check everything for errors. We do have to 100% manually setup Amazon only books since they are not in the Nielsen API (eventually I hope to use the Amazon API for those). What we need to do next is build a database of all books, or at least the most common 6 million or so. We can license data dumps from Ingrams and others, but it is expensive. So I am trying to look at OpenLibrary and other options that might help us keep costs low. And we then have to build out the infrastructure to manage those millions of books and even more book editions. Plus manage all the updates to that DB in a decent faction. It is expensive.
