Beginning of modern Nu "metal", yes. Modern Metal is too broad of a category, and cannot be represented by any one album, much less a controversial, almost non-metal, album like Chaos AD.
This is the blueprint for the perfect circle pit. The Eye of the Storm in the middle,...the storm running around them,...and everyone else thrashing up front.
Holy shit!! I was there, of my first concerts in Arena López Mateos in Tlalnepantla, Méx. We were brutal, fierce slamers, mosh piters and headbangers. Not like the boys of today. Excellent video for the ones that we around the 40 ´s decade. Thanks.
This is so awesome it made me laugh out loud and happy to see this. I was 19 at this time and this is a great representation of what the crowds were like for metal at this time. No fancy stage lighting. Just young, raw energy. Like the underground punk shows I went to, when it was kids who got off on the energy. Kids who didn't fit in much but did here.
@@buzzcrushtrendkill no fancy lightning and just raw energy because they were a mostly obscure band to the big audience. Im 21, I attend a lot of death metal shows only made off small bands with a couple hundred ppl and it's the exact same vibe.. very few cellphone, beer all over the floor, ppl having a good time and being full of energy.. dont loose faith in the new gen
This right here are nothing less than a pure Metal gem. Thanks so much for uploading this man! (It´s the first time I ever seen this Sepultura footage). And Mexicans sure know how to rock out at a Metal concert, goddamn! \m/
Hell yeah!!
I’m a hip hop head but my best friend is a metal head we known each other literally since we where baby’s both of our moms where best friends as well grew up two completely different neighborhoods I got him into hip hop he got me into Metal
Viva sepultura ! Que vivan los verdaderos años del metal !
damn, paulo is rocking like there's no tomorrow. great performance. and the crowd is the best. loved the still/froze images. if i were one of those dudes and saw myself right now in this video i'd die a happy mexican man!
These videos make me so sad. I bought Arise and BtR in 1992 Just as they were leaving this style of music. If I were 5-6 years older I would have seen one of these shows. I saw Sep with Max in '96. That was after Roots. I can't stand that fucking album. Old Sep is where it's at. Man, they were the best back then...
Depends on where you are in the world. Every single Death Metal show I've ever been to here in Florida gets insane ass crowds. I saw obituary back in July and the everybody in the pit was going insane the entire night.
it's not about the mass of the crowds here in Mexico, Metal does quite fine. We've had a lot of bands tour here that have never ever played in USA. But the kids today are not as wild as what they were when I was a teen.
