Yeah, I did not know at the time making the video but I did figure it out after lol. I figured they had to be a way to do it. You know thanks for the tip though. It will definitely help other people knowing that. Are you loving your SEQTrak?
Sounds great! I got this case for mine from Amazon... LTGEM Travel Hard Carrying Case for AKAI Professional LPK25 - USB MIDI Keyboard Controller(New Model)
Nice that’s good information because I don’t have a key step lol. And it’s something that I think people would want to know because it’s very popular. I was actually torn between a key step pro and the Akai mini plus, and went with the Akai just because I’m very familiar with the Akai gear. I kind of felt like I knew what I was getting, and I’ve got to play with any of the Arturia stuff.
Good stuff Cap10. Had to return my Seqtrak today unfortunately. Faulty bluetooth. Seems a few have reported bluetooth issues. Hopefully the replacement will be ok. I was very impressed with it in the short time I had to use.
Oh man - I had not heard about the Bluetooth issues. I had heard about the "Button issues" but I think that is more just a "weird keyboard thing" like the keys on it are definitely different - and if you hit them off center they can mis-trigger... It is probably a design flaw, but it is not broken just a quirky keyboard... I am, dare I say, pretty much hooked on this thing. It sounds so good. I hope this inspires 2nd generation with more capabilities, and a better keyboard. The unit itself though is SO FUN!! I cannot tell you the last time I had a device that held my attention like this has - I usually have a million things going through my head, but I have been super focused on this device... Anyway I really hope your new one works right, I feel like this is going to be a cult like device haha. 10 years from now everyone will be looking for these and paying $5K for them (probably not but hey that would be insane).
@@Cap10NRGMusic Yes the keyboard isn't the greatest. I don't know if you've ever used a cheap Korg Nanokey. That also has clacky keys (I really like them!) but also manages to have velocity sensitivity. It really would've been great if Yamaha had implemented that cheap tech Korg have been using for over ten years. I guess it all comes down to margins at the end of the day. I'd prepared myself for the slightly cheap feel and clacky keys. So I wasn't disappointed when I got my hands on it. It does seem fun, intuitive and easy to use. That's the main thing.
@@electro-soma haha - yes those keys on the original one where very much like these - the newer ones aren’t too bad I use those quite a bit with my iPad.
@electro-soma I won hundred percent agree with that lol. I think they’re awesome. I love the SMPLTREK . The form factor is great the look of it the feel of it. I do wish the operating system was a little different. A little more intuitive but I think they’ve done a pretty good job of making it usable, I personally like to use it a lot and it’s kind of a device of choice when I’m doing any kind of sequencing of hardware devices and I don’t want to use a DAW. I have yet to really utilize the audio recording on it. I really want to get some kind of a project that I use that and do a video with that. Maybe a SEQTRAK SMPLTREK tag team…
