Thank you, Rachel! What a gem of a channel you have! I have another request for you if you have time or desire to create a video on stretching hands, wrists and feet. I have a few students in my class that have wrist and feet issues. Thank you 💕

@@RachelScottYoga Definitely. I really love your authentic, fun, and eloquent delivery of your teachings! Much appreciated as I have been teaching fitness classes for decades, but Yoga is a different beast. I am still a newbie to teaching yoga (at this old age!) and it seems the deeper I go, the deeper I WANT to go. So I love when I come across an amazing teacher like you! :)

Nice video, thanks for explaining it. Im a new yoga teacher and practising building flows, but it just takes sooo long. Can I ask, how long does it usally take you to create a 75 minute flow? I guess it gets faster over time? And, how often do you re-use a flow - do you teach a different flow everytime, or do you repeat flows after a period of time has passed? Thank you!

Hi Carolin! So glad that you asked, you may really like this blog: www.rachelyoga.com/2019/11/the-only-four-yoga-sequences-youll-ever-need/ I want to relieve you of the need to create new sequences every time you teach a class. Some styles of yoga do the same sequences - FOREVER. And they can be very powerful practices ~ I'd suggest that you build a flow, and teach that same flow - with some variations - for a couple weeks. Figure out what you can change and evolve...then move on and try something different. You can absolutely repeat sequences..repetition allows you to refine that sequence, become creative with modifications, and refine your language and timing. Also, you can focus on your teaching skills more because you're not having to constantly think about what comes next! And yes, all that said, it will get much faster over time :)

Much thanks for your response. It is at 15:02 to 15:20

@@HaoLe-qz9rc AH! Counter poses. These are poses that you do AFTER the peak, that help to re-balance the body from the class. For example, if you did a backbend as your peak, you would to a more mild forward fold as your counter pose to take the spine in the opposite direction. Also, these poses should try to release parts of the body that have been engaged, and potentially engage (gently) parts of the body that have been stretched ~
