This is my first contact with Take 5, an compact analog poly synth from Sequential. And... it's very fun to play! It has deep&fat bass, good leads, great pads and drones. There are also a very useful FXs with realtime controls.
All sounds are recorded directly form Take 5 to Tascam DR-05x recorder in 24bit/96khz resolution.
Sequential Take 5 specificatios:
- 5 voices polyphony, 2 analogue VCOs per voice + Noise
- 4-Pole low-pass filter with resonance based on Prophet 5 (Rev 4)
- 44-Key Fatar keyboard, velocity-sensitive and with an aftertouch
- Two 5-step envelopes (ADSR + Delay)
- Effects
- Arpeggiator
- Polyphonic step sequencer with a maximum of 64 steps
- 256 Preset memory locations
- VINTAGE KNOB Recreates the characteristics of vintage synthesizers by introducing parameter variations from voice to voice.

16:13 I mitici arpeggiatori che usa A.L.I.S.O.N. nei suoi meravigliosi brani! The legendary arpeggiators used by A.L.I.S.O.N. in his wonderful songs! It reminds me so much of the song 'Lifted' by A.L.I.S.O.N.

At 14:00 is one percent I would not mind having. At 9:47, it is a sawtooth sound that I would consider ideal (with a little pitch modulation from the LFO) for several of the songs I play with the musicians I currently play with.

It's interesting how no one on youtube plays the Take 5 with neither the arp ot sequencer (both onboard)- whenever I jam on mine, both are usually running. Sure, there is voice stealing, but playing helps control the octave and notes still play.

I just purchased the Yamaha Montage M6 and the AN-X engine is AMAZING!

Not even close. He ends with bank 5 of 8 of the OG sounds. The 2.0 update extends full banks 9-16 with some HUGE sounding presets unlike anything in the first 8 banks. For example there are SEVERAL massive pluck sounds that actually sound FAT unlike the Varipluck junk in the OG bank. Also there is a Unison sound 'White Room Hoover' that blows away the Hoover sound in the OG patches. My favorite synth sound of all time is also in these banks. It is called 'The Fifth Dimension'. I like to turn off the lights late at night and just let this sound play for like 30 minutes. Not to mention the sound 'Stereo Razor' which is like the fattest lead sound I have EVER heard!!!
