►A LITTLE ABOUT ME: I'm Dean Wolfe, a mostly self-taught Canadian guitarist/composer/multi-instrumentalist/singer/producer/performer. I started out as a full time musician, on the road at age 17-19, then went part-time ever since, holding 'day-careers' like chef (red seal papers), spiritual health care while raising a family. As a producer I've made hundreds of my own songs for media and award winning documentaries etc. I've been in several bands including a prog/jazz fusion act nFuze, playing International Jazz festivals and jazz clubs. I mostly abandoned the prog genre in the '90s but have returned to it now with vigour 30 years later. My own prog band was rejected by record labels as "too progressive' in the late 80s, so i explored grunge, pop rock and alternative, alt-folk / acoustic fingerstyle guitar and ambient electronic as well. Recently i found shoegaze and lo-fi as well. I have a home studio that is ramping up for lots more music so stay tuned.

@@deanwolfechannel Viernes 3am is brilliant but I strongly recommend you get a proper translation of the lyrics before doing it. The song is great but the lyrics add a new level. HOWEVER... be aware that you might need a content warning for it if you talk about it in the video. There's nothing overtly explicit but it's about one of those subjects that online platforms can get, understandably, a bit iffy about (send me a DM if you need a translation or want a heads up about the themes) The lyrics aspect is truly one you are missing with these, as well as the political background. Seru Giran existed at the same time as the Argentinean Military Juntas in the late 70s and early 80s. The Juntas were very much against certain expressions of music, there were often raids after shows, bands did not get a lot of radio airtime until 82 (the war with the UK over the southern islands), and censorship was rampant. So a lot of the lyrics had to be careful on what they said and didn't to bypass censorship. Cancion de Alicia is, I think, the finest example of this, where lyrics are ostensibly about Alice in Wonderland, but in reality the story is used as clever stand in to critique known political figures and situations. Again, if you are covering it, I'd urge you to find both a good translation into English, and someone to point out where the links to existing situations or people are, so you can get the full experience.

Incredible song from de best band in argentinian history. This was write by Charly García , a magic artist. I recomend to react this songs: Eiti Leda, Perro Andaluz, La grasa de las Capitales, Seru Giran, Viernes 3 am, Canción de Alicia en el pais, and Desarma y Sangra. All the songs of this band are great.

Aznar is an insane bass player, and like many have already suggested, Eiti Leda and Grasa de las Capitales are probably the two best examples for his playing, and they’re monster tracks.

I'm glad you reacted to serú giran!! Argentina is another world of rock, Charly is one of the best composers in the world, but the world doesn't know it yet. I recommend you react to another Charly band called "La maquina de hacer pajaros", his song "Rock and Roll" or my personal favorite "Boletos, pases y abonos". People who meet Charly fall deeply in love with music again, to savor new unique sounds.

Some people are requesting songs that are beautiful with strong lyrics, but being that your forte is not Spanish that song needs to be more instrumentally involved I guess. Las grasas de las capitales should fit like a glove

I'm being "that guy" who is waiting the full album reaction to Invisible's last album "El jardín de los presentes" (1976) hoping to see the vynil in that wall next to "Tubular Bells". "Cinema Verité" and "Canción de Alicia en el país" are my vote's for Seru Giran but on those ones the lyrics are very important because of the context of militar dictatorship in Argentina and censorship in the lyrics. Hi.This song is a critical joke about SADAIC (Your ASCAP),then ruled by elder people,(The youngsters from yesterday),in context of militar goverment.So,the music is a mixture of Tango and Milonga,and complements the lyric,made with multiple fragments of Buenos Airesque things,like decadent TV shows on sundays,the remisses (Expensive taxis)used by the authorities of the era andsome caracters of the media of 1980.
