Last year I was on Iceland rafting ( very cold :), and one Italian rafting instructor said that he went all over the world and the best party was in Serbia by far :)

@@mizzo2006 Not sure what are you talking about but speaking about genocide, there were number of them against Serbian population to the extend that they reduced majority of population to become minority to name a few: WWI on Serbian lands of Bosnia and Hertcegovina, WWII in Krajina and B&H and Serbian where Germans murdered thousands of civilians, communist period where they forcibly created new nations out of Serbian people and during the nineties. If you had intellectual capacity you would have read about history and would not write some nonsense on social media. Read something it will help you understand what is happening around you.

Nice to see that Serbians know how to party in a civilized manner and listen to serbian music unlike my romanian co-nationals who only know to listen to gypsy music at parties like this instead of our romanian songs. They could definitely learn a thing or two from our neighbors. In fact serbians are not the only neighbors of ours who are more civilized and who seem to have had a better education at home. You said, rightly so, there was nothing comparable to the Drina River regata. But in Brazil, on January 1st., there are New Year regatas in the coastal city of Angra dos Reis, near Rio de Janeiro, and in Salvador, Bahia. Both are also very nice to take part in.
Brazilian and Serbian peole are the best and most partying people on the World ! And love and respect each other a lot for it! For wonderful style of life relaxed always and veryyy fun , dynamic!

bro this is so cool I can't believe it, here in Czechia people in small groups ofter go on rafts and canoes on our rivers, and this reminds me of our trip when we just drinked on water and partied, but like 10000 times more huge lol
@@JetLagWarriors just type "jokic regata" in youtube search, it will come up, although I think he went for rafting, it's a bit different compared to regatta.
There are a lot of peoples including various staffs to be sober and those are that doctors actually in water who monitors and care about whole groups of swimmers, so it is very very well organized.
Regata is a bit commercialized nowadays. I remember, some 20 years ago, we would come with makeshift rafts, grill and roasted pig on board. It was just so much fun😂😂😂

There is a same river party in Kraljevo on Ibar river 'Veseli spust" (Funny floating- rough translation). I was twice long time ago in 1992/3 and 1998. I think it's in July. There are many other festivals in Serbia during the summer.

I'm from that area (the part of the river you went down flows 500m from my house) and I call it not: Regatta, but RGATA (without the E). "Rgati" means to spoil something, to wear out something, or for behavior - to go wild, to behave inappropriately... and a lot of people behave that way on that day. Živela Beserovina!

Three fingers are the sign of the trinity in Christianity and this became a symbol of Serbia, not Partizan or Red Star, it is strictly a Serbian thing. Even our MVP Jokic from NBA was on Drina this year. It is a favorite place to visit and to participate.

It must be something about the frontier's between Serbia and Croatia, i mean at the Sea side, because obviously Croatia have so many kilometres of Coast and So many port's and the same time Serbia doesn't have anything about port's and nothing by the Sea side about kilometres of Coast. You can do this rafting on the holy Jordan river. The river is narrower and goes faster and you can feel some stones passing under you. Northen Israel is nice.
