Hey everyone! Today we're taking an in depth look at the Serek Lincoln, one of Serek's coolest models! It's always a pleasure to play a Serek, and this bass is no exception. Featuring dual serek singles nested in a comfortable classically styled body, the Lincoln brings loads of wooly fat tones with the four different pickup modes (series, parallel, neck, bridge). Let's check this beastly bass out!
This bass and all my other basses with rounds are strung with SIT Foundation Nickel Plated Stainless Steel 45-105(125) unless otherwise noted. Check them out at sitstrings.com/

It sounds/looks like the result of a three-way between a Gibson Ripper, a Rick 4003 and a P-Bass. Absolutely love everything about this bass. What a sound.
@davidvitale9338
@davidvitale9338 Год назад
Exactly what I thought!!
@johnsausage
@johnsausage Год назад
The sound is great but when seeing lobster play the bass it reminded me that it has no thumb rest or a pickup case acting as such. I'm so used to playing P- and J-basses and use the pickup case as a thumb rest. I think this is something that should be somehow easy to customize on a bass (don't know how though.. would be the job of an industrial designer :D)
@THX-vp9fz
@THX-vp9fz Год назад
@@johnsausage If you really need/want a thumbrest on your bass, try to make one yourself or buy one on ebay or at any basses selling shop and fix it on your bass yourself or ask someone you know to do that or give it to a shop which can do that.
@gordonbennett7931
@gordonbennett7931 Год назад
@@johnsausage Not sure what you mean as you could still rest your thumb on the serek singles pick ups whilst playing? Most people I have seen playing the Serek Lincoln seem to do exactly that. Unless I'm missing something?

@@johnsausage sereks are custom built so im sure the builders would have no problem installing one for you if you dont want the hastle of installing one yourself. also i think it would look great on one of these vintage inspired basses since so many vintage basses such as ricks and old fenders ised to have them.

Hey! I'm in the video! I adore Serek, and the Lincoln just seems like best of many worlds. It's been my number 1 bass for about a year now, and I have no complaints. Gorgeous on every level. Love to finally hear it here in Lobster's hands and have more people see what masterfully made basses Serek is putting out.

Thanks Jonathan! I used to have a Thumb NT 4 that I modded with EMGs a looooooong time ago. Probably around 18 or so years ago. Got it for a STEAL at guitar center second hand. Talked them down on the price because it had a few dings, but they didn't know that you could iron out the dings on the warwicks with a soldering iron and a slightly wet tshirt. I miss that bass haha

A little confused about the strings...your notes say "strung with SIT..." but the video says that didn't happen. Can you at least say whether they were flats or round wounds? I just put flats (EB Cobalts) on my Lincoln and it sounds fantastic! Love the feel too.
