This is exactly how certain artist scam people. And not to go on a tangent, but this is exactly how Chau Chic Designs scammed Kim Chi when they were working on an outfit for her. It’s a shame, and these queens work hard for their money
Serena's been scamming for ages. I ordered a black wig to be styled like an ariana grande high ponytail. MONTHS LATER I received a package with a black bob wig and a pony fall. They were seperate. Not styled together at all. If I wanted a DIY kit I could have done that for a fraction of the price.
There was one queen who had gotten a wig from Serena that was hot glued together and another that had one that turned out to be colored with spray paint.
To certain demographics of the fanbase, yeah shes underrated. However, to the people who are fans of real Drag, and who follow the pageant system like guys follow the NFL, A’Keria is a legend.
No you can’t say that, neither of them can tell each other they’re casted. I believe Serena was already trying to get her outfits and her wigs done for all stars and she tried to do a job for someone when she already was busy. Serena shouldn’t had taken the job if she knew she’s gonna be too busy getting ready for all stars (The same event she later found out Akeria is apart of) to have that wig ready in time.
@@jessi2814 this video is from a few weeks ago and Akeria keeps referring to Serena as her sister...very clearly filming had already happened (many many months ago), and I doubt that Akeria is wearing a yellow and red wig that just so happens to match the promo videos that just dropped for nothing.
@@jessi2814 you can check out ParamontPlus on Instagram, but they were at the promo shoot together and it’s clearly AFTER the season was filmed, and Akeria is wearing this wig in the pictures. Serena did a terrible job and she doesn’t have a good excuse.
Doubt she'll get her $$ back. Have to chalk it up as a lesson learned. But I hope other queens are listening! Her retribution will be that Serena won't be getting any new business after they see what $300 will get them.
That's so crazy!! I worked with Serena ChaCha once at an event. She's a regional artist for Estee Lauder. She wasn't the sweetest or the most professional. She just made me feel uncomfortable she didn't seem genuine. Crazy to hear about this story!
She just wouldn't really talk to me. I was nice when I met her I recognized her when she came in and thought it was cool to meet a Ru girl (even though she wasn't the most popular and I didn't bring up drag race at all). I treated her like if I didn't know who she was. She wouldn't look or even acknowledge me. She wasnt like that with any of the girls that worked with me so it made me feel uncomfortable and made me feel like she was fake. It was just really weird maybe it was an off day or she was hungover idk. I still said bye and told her it was nice to meet her and I never saw her again.

Serena has messed up so many of her victims’ wigs. Being on the same season together has nothing to do with how awful some of her work truly is. One queen got a wig colored with spray paint and another had bought a double stacked wig that turned out to be two wigs stuck together with hot glue.
First wig I ever bought five years ago was from Serena and the dye came off all over my clothes and on my skin. And it didn’t look like the photo, it was a ratted hard front and yeah....people suck.
At least yours wasn’t colored with spray paint. I heard that is how a wig that one queen had bought from Serena had turned out. I think it was supposed to be green and the wig was cheap quality and the paint made it impossible to save because it was so hard. I don’t understand why she went to art school if that is all her degree is going to give her when literally anyone could color a wig using a can of spray paint.

There are places in California scarred by wildfires annually that aren't even *half* as dry as Serena's wig. For her own safety, I hope A'keria trashes that wig. That wig looks like it'd catch fire in ambient light.

Eureka popped up in a video in Willam's studio the other day looking like a Mortal Kombat character. I know they film the race across the street, so that's my only reason for guessing. Serena could have given her the wig that day when they met up on set.
This was so funny for me to read haha.. I agree with you 100% about her wig being busted on the show, but I guess in her defense just a tad bit, her glow-up from the show was real. I've seen some pics of hers that I feel were breathtaking and her wigs were deff on point in those photos

Omg I got scammed by him also!!! I paid upfront for a pony tail wig and it came late, frizzy, falling apart. I had to open a PayPal case to get my money back.
Girl you should have went to her season on drag race and seen the outcome of her drag everytime she came down the runway......I honestly don't think she even finished school turning out looks like that
that was literally 6 years ago lol serena's drag has elevated a lot and she actually does wigs now, and besides, akeria and serena were on all stars 6 together and probably became somewhat close so i can see why she went to her to buy a wig
That was so long ago. Serena actually has stepped it up and is known for doing good hair now. Why would Akeria even reach out to her if that weren't the case?

Apparently she’s still scamming, cause I bought a wig LAST YEAR (Sep 2022) for a Halloween look, and till this day I haven’t gotten it. I sent her tons of emails and she will not respond. I even messaged her on IG and still no reply. 😡
Not surprising. The FB Group warning all drag performers about scammers has so many posts complaining about Serena and no one is happy with what they’ve gotten from her.
If you want to be taken seriously... you have to eat the money sometimes. If you want to call yourself a sister at least give back the money for the time & like half the money for the hair at the very least.
I paid $75 for a small up do from Serena. This was for a pageant and didnt know how to work with iPods and this seemed like a good piece. I got excuse after excuse about why my hair hadn't been shipped. I got the up the day I was in oklahoma so it did me no good. Never went back to her for anything.
They're rumoured to be on all stars 6. This wig might be for the promo looks because the theme was rumoured to be something orange. I'm so excited for them to fake it out during promo interviews for the show.
