i haven’t watched this show but this edit has got me convinced she’s a lesbian update: a year later i have now watched the show, i’m still convinced they’re lesbians
I think it’s just natural chemistry. IRL they are 4 days apart. They probably have to have a passionate off screen friendship / companionship to act as well together as they do! ❤️
the handmaid's tale is a beautiful story about a woman and her maid slowly falling in love with each other. Eventually, upon seeing her mistress' longing for a child, the maid gets in vitro impregnation and they go through the pregnancy together ❤ it's really heartwarming and wholesome, definitely recommend this show!
I really wish this show was about Serena eventually falling in love with June's passion as a former feminist. Anyway she's still done TONS of awful things so
I’d like a spin-off that’s a prequel to Fred and Serena’s lives before all this. Give us some more insight about what shaped these two into the monsters they’ve become.
LMFAO I got here because I'm watching the show and the tension between them is driving me insane thinking I'm the only one that sees it, but I'm glad this exists. It's hilarious.
i come back to this video every so often and Every Time without fail, the music cutting in at 1:12 for the "reds my color", absolutely murders me on the spot.
I’m so happy I’ve found someone as bare minimum as me when it comes to these two. She will literally abuse her but if she so much as looks at her in the next second I’ve forgiven her and am shipping it in full force again, I’m such a fucking piece of shit
3:10 - 3:30 they were having a Moment™ right there. thank you for making me notice that, this video was fun but also like "serena no, stop looking at june Like That (or else you're gonna lose another finger 😢)"
I truly wished she did felt something for June it was hard to tell because she also did some horrible things to June. To bad she did not help June and really loved her. It would have been epic a beautiful love story between June and Serena. Thank you for making this and sharing it🌹
4:19 is what made its scene my favorite season. I stopped watching when Serena turned back to the dark side again. But I hear she’s on the mend now, so maybe I’ll finish this thing someday lol
Same. I just nos watched it for the billionth time like a year + change after I discovered it and I think laughing out loud isn't quite accurate: it was more like I screamed.
Blessed be this video's creator cuz I am actually crying tears of laughter from this especially that one moment when the tune played for exactly one second 😭😭
...when, meanwhile this video is, technically, on an empirical basis, the best thing -- not just best piece of cinema, or just best work of art -- we're talking the best actual thing in the world, overall..
I have not been having a good day. Finding this made it like idk 4000% better. I'm cackling at their relationship I caaaant 😂 Every season it gets more and more sus istg
My fan theory is that Serena was always in the closet. There are likely a lot of strict religious people who fall into this category and put on a fake front. Ironically, this is the case with a LOT of homophobes. They pretend to hate gays to compensate and further hide in the closet. It would be very interesting to see exactly what was written in "A Woman's Place." Frankly, I don't think the rape of handmaids or Jezebels club was ever her idea. This was actually thought up by a bunch of men in a van. Her participation of course makes her culpable, don't get me wrong, especially when she held June down for Fred when she was 9 months along! 😖 🤬 Anyways, she seemed to have a different (shall we say) way of appreciating her own gender. "Never mistake a woman's meekness for weakness." This quote stands out to me, and is the only sentence from her book we hear about. The men, of course, wanted women weak so they could be oppressed. Serena had something much different in mind the whole time. That quote from her book especially spells this out. It's almost as if she thought "Go ahead and think we're weak, boys. It'll only make it easier for us to pull a sneak attack when you get too high on power. You won't expect it. You really have no idea why I submit, do you, Fred...😈" It's easy to think of her as a hypocrite, who only rebelled when she realized the oppressive laws she wrote would apply to her too. I think there's more to it than that. If you think about it, in the beginning of Gilead, she was prepared and willing to not read/write herself and fall in line with the new laws. In her twisted thinking, I believe she honestly thought the ends justify the means, and that her gender in particular has a "sacred" duty and sacrifice to make. She viewed women who were unwilling to "do what's necessary" as selfish and evil (treated them cruelly accordingly), but seemed to be capable of the opposite extreme towards women she saw as "strong" and willing to do "their part." This would explain her hot/cold nature, especially towards June, who matched Serena in her strength and bold leadership capabilities. I think she had a sick and twisted appreciation for her own gender that may have even given way to feelings of sexual attraction. 🤔 Of course she would never admit this, but homosexuality going on in her subconscious seems rather plausible. Human sexuality is a very complicated thing. Labels don't do it justice. We're all a little fluid.
Lawd, this is the BEST video. THank you, thank you, THANK YOU!! I've always thought she was gay in her own right, this video has me dead to the floor with crying laughter. You HAVE to do an update with season 4. You did a helluva job and I am soo appreciative. Now back to me watching this again. hahahahahahaha
