Incredible compilation. The surprising aspect is that you can easily find another 100 points in her career as good as these ones. It's very impressive these points span multiple decades, and showcases her abilities in different stages of her career. It also shows how complete her game is, ranging from power, Incredible court coverage and athleticism, finess, and incredible angles. And she did it against some impressive and very athletic players. We all have our favorites, but no genuine tennis fan can deny her greatness and abilities.
People will remember her for her power and superb serve but I'll always remember her for her angle placements, finesse, fierceness, and as an exceptional point constructor/tactician.
Well even her angles and returns improved in 2018-2019... Serena's game changed a lot in those years, some think for the worse, but I feel that they were her best adaptation
Yes, the serve, the greatest shot in tennis. I loved that it was aces on match points and so many more were even left out, like vs Azarenka in Madrid final 2012
@@Stillpretty920 Yeah, that is a very inconvenient truth for Serena diehard fans. Here are some facts for you : Serena is by no means the women's tennis greatest of all time (GOAT). That distinction goes to Steffi Graf which, while having won one less Slam event (i.e.. 22 vs. 23), surpasses Serena in ALL categories. 1. Steffi and Margaret Court are the only players to have won a calendar-year Grand Slam in the Open Era. Serena never achieved such a feat. 2. Total weeks at #1 : Steffi 377; Serena 319. 3. Year-End #1 : Steffi 8 ; Serena 5 4. Tournaments won : Steffi 107; Serena 73 5. Career win % : Steffi 89.7 % ; Serena; 84.9 % 6. Slams won/entered: Steffi 41.5 % ; Serena : 29.1 % Particularly damning is the consistency factor: quarterfinal (QF) or better results from total Slam appearances: Steffi: 85.2%; Serena : 68.3%; That is, nearly a THIRD of Serena’s Slam results have been exits before the QF. That's NO GOAT stuff ! Justine Henin made a difference, since over the mid-2003 through 2007 time period she was the player that dominated Serena. Their H2H record at Slams is 4-3 in Justine's favor. By comparing to other players' performances, like Margaret Court Smith's, overall Serena is at somewhere around the all-time #3-5 mark.
@@danbotez1307 yeah I won’t be reading that. I’m sorry that you wasted your time writing that she is the goat and will forever be the goat because no one will reach 24 or even 23 …You would be muted now. Have a wonderful Sunday. It’s hot where I am.
Great compilation. For the Serena return, I wished you included the 138mph serve Serena returned in the mixed double match with Andy. That was sooo incredible. That whole match Serena carried😂
What’s cool about this is seeing all of the different eras of champions that Serena was able to dominate in. The Graf, Seles, Hingis era… The Venus, Capriati, Davenport era… The Henin, Clijsters, Mauresmo era… The Sharapova, Dementieva, Safina era… The Azarenka, Wozniacki, Kvitová era… The Halep, Kerber, Mugaruza era… And then finally training off in the Barty, Osaka, Plishkova era. How would a prime Serena fare in the Swiatek, Sabalenka, Gauff era?
No one you listed has Serena's all-court, all-surface game. Her serve is the best of all time in women's tennis, her forehand is 2nd to Graf's, & her backhand is forged in steel. On top of that, she was lightning fast around the court & had all the feel shots as evidenced by her glittering doubles career with Venus. The WTA field is SO weak it makes Igor seem better. Serena's beaten Ashtray & She-Hulk already. She would wipe the floor with Igor's mediocre serve & absolutely decimate Gaffe.
She didn't dominate Henin. Henin has a H2H 4-3 Slam-match winning record vs. Serena. Also, in the last 8 Slams she played Serena was beaten like a drum.😂
Incredible that Serena spanned all these different eras all the way back from Steffi Graf to Osaka and Sabalenka and won against them all. Unfortunately Swiatek never got to play Serena but I know Serena would’ve wiped the floor with her..
No one is/was a better clutch server. Period. I can't find stats on second serve aces, but she sure got lotta of em. And phenomenal Aces to double fault ratio.
Serena had the best serve in women's tennis & the best forehand of her generation. Nowadays, Gaffe is a far cry off in both departments. My how fortunes have waned on the WTA.
I enjoyed this and I was waiting for some Capriati/Seles/Davenport/Venus/Mauresmo points I know that they are out there. I’m just a big fan is all no offense at all. I applaud you for taking the time to create this. You are the GOAT with this because I don’t think I’d have the patience.
Serena Williams is undoubtedly one of the greatest tennis players of all time, known for her dominance, athleticism, and powerful playing style. While I can't provide a specific "top" list without further context, I can certainly highlight some of Serena's most memorable achievements and moments on the tennis
The compilation is shamelessly biased. Justine stopped Serena in her prime (FO '03) and ended with a 4-3 winning record in Slam matches vs. Serena. Not to mention Serena's terrible lack of class
@@danbotez1307what’s her character got to do with her best shots? at this point you’re just here to be a hater. don’t be bitter. appreciate good tennis and move along.
Nice compilation, but no mention of the fact that Serena lost at 15 Slams in a row from 2018 through 2022. That strongly dismisses any GOATness claim in her favor. A good measure of GOATness is the DOMINANCE factor; that is, the percentage of Slams won out of the total number of Slams entered: 1) Margaret Court 51 % 2) Steffi Graf 41 % 3) Serena Williams 29 % Taking into account other factors like: total weeks at #1, number of Year-End #1, and total number of tournaments won, Serena keeps coming at #3 all time.
@@magnetmac1 One less Slam doesn't mean that Steffi isn't the women's GOAT. Steffi Graf surpasses Serena in all other categories: 1. @@danbotez1307 About 10 yrs (or more) ago, Graf's 22 majors Open Era record was the ultimate benchmark used to measure success in professional tennis. Why? Because the record was once considered unattainable and unbreakable. Then Serena Williams happened! She toppled the seemingly unbreakable record with 23 majors of her own. Then suddenly Margaret Court's name came back from obscurity to "relevance" and Graf's fans abandon 22 Slams and focus on her statistics to try to make a case that has unanimously been lost already.
The women's GOAT is Steffi Graf. 2nd best is Margaret Court. Serena is # 3 at best. A REALITY check for @Stillpretty920 and other blind Serena cultists. 😂
@@chrisarmelseyibayebek4977 but serena never depends on rankings she has won grand slam so many times in past as unseeded player so your conception is wrong
