I agree. people having their own preference don't make sense to me either.

I personally agree to the DSR/Top placment, since the amount of executional perfection along with the insane amount of body checks by now is insane and unsatisfactory while progging it all. In my opinion Ucob or Tea are the best Ultimates in general. That being said tho it’s just my personal opinion

imo DSR is incredibly overrated, my issue with DSR is that a lot of its mechanics are in downtime phases and as someone mentioned prior the amount of body checks which when ffxiv implements body checks the mechanical complexity starts to become limited. As oppose to TEA where mechanics were more emphasised based on the role you're playing while still trying to keep up with the mechnical "puzzle". To illustrate my point further living liquid to me is a more interesting fight compared to DSR thordan phase as each role has their own mechanic to do, healers have to make sure their mits are co-ordinated, adjust heals based on the doll feed esuna throttles. DPS need to make sure the difference between liquid and the hand is near and they have to damage their doll to a certain percent and feed it. Tanks need to move each boss for parting, aim busters away from people, take tornado busters, dodge blue balls. DSR thordan phase has everyone do the same mechanic with the difference being some randomisations which just means you go to a different spot, I never feel like I'm being tested on my skills on the job I'm playing while performing mechanics (the same goes for TOP too imo). I do think DSR has the best spectacle of the ultimates but in terms of prog and playing through all the ultimates TEA ranks number 1 for me.
