Serge Lutens & Shiseido RANKED Family Portrait! Top Ten + Countdown!  

Great Serge Lutens was my first entry to the niche world and remains one of my favorites till this day. So many gems are in his catalog! I own around 45 of SL bottles and love them all for their uniqueness and beauty. Some of my favorites are Miel de Bois, Des Profundis, Fourreu Noir, Iris Silver Mist, Une Voix Noir, La Myrrhe, Fils de Joie,etc. Thanks for the house family portrait video Ramsey! 😊

Nice one Ramsey. Saw a video the other day commenting that after Dior died and Yves took over the cat walk fashion , Dior struggled. Yves didn’t have success with his clothing collection. Serge luten saved the company by introducing his funky color pallet make up line which was a smash hit with the in crowd. The history of the French fashion houses is fascinating.

Fumerie Turque is the best fragrance ever. Imho. Even better than Chergui.....and Daim Blond.

I had and owned a bell jar of Muscs Koublai Khan. I wore it twice and both times detected a very off putting B.O. note confirmed by a friend who on first smelling said ot loud I smell B.O. in front of his teenage daughter and her friend. So I ask who would want to smell like that? I also had and owned Sheseido Basala which I bought based on the exceptionally high reviews and I disliked it as it smelled to me like a tea bag which had I wanted to smell like I would have brewed a pot and pored it over myself. Kudos to those who enjoy this. I was able to sell my bottles with ease on ebay proving their must be a devout segment of the population who wants to smell like these fragrances by those who have either lost their mental faculties or bodily functions are have now embarked on a campaign to convince us the smell of the unwashed masses is somehow sexy.

Arabie is great for me because of the sweetness it would be way too masculine without that sweetness. It’s absolutely gorgeous

Unfortunately, you did not rank my favorites. I am obsessed with Bois de Violette as well as La Myrrhe, and I also love Sarrasins and Borneo 1834, a perfume that absolutely stands apart from Coromandel because it gives off a much darker vibe.

I picked up a big 100ml bottle of couche de diable for $35 tjmaxx in Connecticut and a bunch of the 1.7oz for $30 about a year ago, ambre sultan is my favorite so far, have yet to open the other 6 I grabbed, some were from the politesse line too

I just lost an ebay auction a couple of weeks ago for 'fille en aiguilles', in the tall black bottle, by a fiver. Snatched from my grasping fingers.

Good timing. I happen to be wearing Cuir Mauresque today. Of the ones I have, my current favorites in order of preference are : Ambre Sultan, Borneo 1834, Chergui, Cuir Mauresque, Fille en Aiguilles, Muscs Koulai Khan, Feminite du Bois and Santal Majuscule. I'm very fond of all of these and rankings ebb and flow a bit over time and depending on the weather.

Great list ,great line,great nose ,and with Uncle Serge at the helm ,the combo is untouchable. I probably grab a Serge over any other house in my collection and made sure they are the closest to hand ,no digging or searching on this house Hahahaha,cheers Rams always a goddam pleasure mate 🙏👍✌️
