I love Saul but this guy is not being honest. I know for a fact Canelo has always had trouble with fighters who can move and he couldn’t trap Lara, or Trout, or Floyd. Ward at the end of his career would be going for a stoppage and idk if he gets it but I don’t think canelo could reall impose himself on it. I’d say if ward fought canelo it would be 8-4 rnds for ward. He would just take over.

I hate when fighters do this. Kovalev absolutely does not believe that Canelo is a better fighter than the men who whipped him twice (at least once depending on how you scored the first fight, but it was close). He resents Andre for some reason and that was a personal jab. In other words, if Canelo fought Ward, Canelo would not win and Sergey knows that. With that said, I'm not counting out Sergey in this fight. Sergey stands at like 6'1, Canelo is 5'8, that is a stark contrast. Kovalev probably walks around at like 200 lbs, he's a much bigger man. To put that in perspective, Canelo fought at 155 lbs for a LONG time before he began training to fight GGG in the future. I respect these Mexican fighters SO MUCH. They have so much HEART! But don't be surprised if Canelo bit off more than he can chew in this one ala Mikey Garcia. We may say in hindsight that this fight did not make sense.

You don’t make that jump after only having close fights two weight divisions below, and especially that many lbs below light heavyweight. Either Kovalev stops Canelo like he should or something is up. Not saying that could only be the case, but I don’t believe so.
