This bloke is seriously good. Discovered him a while ago but am increasingly impressed. Dont like staging of this but his voice is marvellous. Free, open, never forced, breath control and attack are all really first class. And great musicality to his tone and delivery.
@@deluccabrasil1450 the tenor has proper technique., Soprano doesn't. I'm an accompanist and I've heard aone bad tenors , he has a proper breathing technique and takes the text and music into consideration

En la escena donde Rigoletto y Sparafuccille dialogan éstos no son importantes para el regista y los pone a cantar fuera de escena. Lo importante es el morbo de ver al Duque y Maddalena tener sexo. ¡Qué obsesión la de los registas de hoy con el sexo y el consumo de licor y drogas en el escenario! Lamentable que hoy no existan cantantes con la suficiente personalidad y madurez artística para impedir que uno de estos personajes destruyan así una obra de arte. Algo impensable en tiempos de Kraus, Sutherland, Caballé o Nilsson. En cambio las voces descuidadas completamente en técnica, interpretación y estilo no importan. Mucho menos el drama y el compositor. Realmente la ópera es un género muerto. Nunca toleraré que este arte sea convertido en un deleznable y burdo espectáculo Hollywoodesco y pornográfico. ¿Es eso re-significar la ópera? Ok, entonces "re-signifiquemos" El David de Miguel Ángel o la Mona Lisa de Davinci dándoles un toque de modernidad. Hay tanto afán forzado hoy en la ópera por mostrar sexo y drogas que ya no resulta escandaloso, sino absolutamente ridículo y pueril. El único director musical vivo y activo con el suficiente conocimiento y experiencia además de profundo respeto por la partitura y el compositor es Riccardo Muti que jamás tomaría la batuta frente a una producción así. Con su desaparición Verdi y la ópera llorarán con profunda pena.
Wonderful singing, as always, Sergey! I said earlier, in another video of yours, that in am normally very critical. You'll now get to see that side of me. Not critical of you at all, but of this miserable production! It is so sad to me that so many opera directors, set and costume designers etc, think the y have to somehow "improve" upon what the composers and librettist intended for their operas, by placing them in completely different times and loctions, and even characters! This trend that has been going on now, and getting worse, for at least 20 years now is destroying our beautiful art of opera. I hope that as your career grows, a time will come when you are able to decline performance engagements that are such low artistic standards as this.
