One idea I like. The shelter on the trackhoe. It could be set up to be self contained, carrying and powering the welders on board, only thing needing to go to the shelter would be cables.
Why use autoweld....if manual weld can be use right,i think that paipline muct be 12,16 or 18 inchi..gab 3 or 4 mm do the penration......i like job part welding...........can use SMAW LB 7016 do perntrion and hot pass,chapping can use LB 7018.......Change AC/DC OR DC/AC ampere.......i love weld pipeline..........from SARAWAK,MALAYSIA..... 😊😊😊

something has to be wrong here. i believe an automatic orbital welding head should produce a picture perfect weld. a moderately skilled welder could have done better freehand.

Tanto trabajo con un robot y la soldadura le tienen que hacer tanta limpiesa no tiene ninguna ventaja un buen soldador cualificado la habria echo con mejor calidad y utilisando a tiempo igual y con manos equipo y les habla uno con mas de 50 años de esperiencia y cualificado en arco por electrodo,Mig, fluz cored,Tig.

That contraption can’t possibly be faster and produce better welds than two guys with a tig torch. No wonder oil is so expensive when your paying for all this crap.
Uncle Derrick you must be a idiot millennial orbital has it place we use it for heavywall and double joint on long runs in fabrication shops. Field welds will always need to be hand welded because of environmental conditions and space requirements. The bottom line is time ,money and material and orbital welding equipment is a waste of resources on small bore pipe because a man can get the job done faster & cheaper. I’ve worked on pipeline where we made over 90 6 inch schedule 80 butt welds on a 12 hour shift with just 10 men with a 1% rejection rate, that’s almost 200 welds a day useing tig for the root & hot and flux core for the fill and cap. Skilled pipewelders will never be obsolete.
This is a waste of time and money!!!!!!! Two welders with one tig rig would have been faster and more efficient.🤣😂🤣 that’s schedule 40 wall pipe uphill 6010 /7018 or 7010 downhill all the way out would be better suited for this pipe !!!!!!!!!

Schedule 40? take a look at 5.09. and You mention SMAW electrode to "suit this pipe"? ever heard of welding processes?, procedures (WPS/PQR)?, specifications?, Code?, Standards?. No human doing the weld . Why . U put a robot to weld and call urself a welder ? No human did a,weld . On this vid. Call ur self a,robotic welder helper .
