Material is carbon steel, the pipe wall thickness is 41 mm adn the OD is 42 Inch. The gap is not more than 7 mm.

Theres no gap bro but less than 2mm the landing of vebel thats why very easy to go for root pass

Yes, you are right buddy. Saipem Welding System is the best system i have ever know. when we operate this machine, we don't need to grind every pass, and machines are programmed for 95 % outo. so we don't need to much use the remote button. the important thing we have to do is to keep the contact tip center. then to open and close the contact tip if need so. depending on gap. I have operate many kind of auto welding machine. CRC, Serimax and so on, but SWS is the best one. and the repair rate is almost zero. High productivity as well. Miss to work back for saipem.
