great realistic vid without any talking. the short texts once in a while are pretty comfortable. like this it is a breeze to focus on your detecting movie . thanks for taking us there. best regards
The five inch round dd on the Red Racer is red hot on coins in high metal trash areas ,less targets under the smaller coil makes it very precise in two tone .Hard to beat this combo with any machine even today. Great show thanks 😊!
My red racer is still finding goodies, the original coil is now replaced with a mars 10 x 5 dd and just keeps producing side by side with my Deus.nice to watch your show again. Do you still use your Racer!😊
Your doing a fantastic job in that area well done, most people would have given up in such a iron rich place.. Great finds, great video thanks for sharing. Looking forward to your next hunt.. Johnny.
I still use this detector in 2024 and it holds its own against modern day detectors. This was their first detector from Makro. The detector has been punished and well used and everything is still working perfectly. A well made detector from Turkey. Nokta/Makro are one of the best companies for metal detecting today and have come a long way. This is a testament to their passion and dream of building an awesome company to produce great metal detectors.
I'm still using my red racer, too. It's a great little unmasker in iron, and it gets good depth. The best thing about this one is the audio.😉 I did have an ear on the stock coil break off, and Makro sent me a 5x10 as they didn't have a stock coil for it on hand. It works even better than the stock DD.
@@dapawaz8310 absolutely and great to hear. I just picked up the 7 inch concentric coil and it's amazing in iron and goes deep! In some areas I have the sensitivity turned down to 1 and it still punches down. Sometimes depending on the area I'm detecting I only want what's on top mainly and nothing deep. The racer is definitely a great detector still in 2024!
I'm still watching your older video's as well as your new ones. This one is fantastic! You even pulled out a folding shovel for this, haven't seen you with it in your new video's though. Thanks for films!
Oh thank you. I still have this shovel, but I'm (occasionally) using a different one (which can't be folded, but it's lighter). I take it only with me, when I have to recover a big target (that I marked in the past). I have two videos almost ready, where this shovel plays a small part. I will try to upload it in the future... Have a nice day.
Nice video. Several people who own the Makro Racer say you can replace the broken coil bolt with one of the arm rest bolts for a quick fix in the field.
Nice video...shame about the bolt breaking...happened to me in the field and was frustrating, fortunately a bolt can be taken from the arm rest which allowed me to continue detecting. Great finds there and well persevered!
+JONATHAN TAYLOR - Thank you very much. Someone already wrote about the screw from the arm rest on a different platform. I'm using a bolt from another detector at this point, but it is good to know how to replace it quickly, if it happens again. Thanks!
I like the honest review and the fact u show that an iron infested place could potentially have something good beneath it. If u are on a field u know a seed field thats been harvested and plowed and all. Would u dig after every iron if it sounded there was something interesting? Like how u go from that was not a great start and then u find a bloody roman coin haha Happy hunting
Well done friend, great video as always. Nice to see you topping up your Roman coin hoard ;). They looked like lovely coins too, keep up the good work. ATB
MetalDetecting24 I've been out detecting a lot this month and i am really getting to know the Golden Mask 5 now. I am digging a lot less rubbish as i am becoming familiar with the digital graph, and i found a way to run at almost full power without becoming unstable. I had a nice little coin spill the other day with a couple of small silvers, but no gold yet :-). So how many detectors do you have? and do any go deeper than 13 or 14 inches?
+\_ Venator - That's nice to hear. It looks like you are doing very well. A silver coin spill sounds amazing. Congratulations! All I could find at the beginning ( for almost 1 year in my old town) were coins from 1960. How many detectors? I think 7 at the moment (which means - 6 too much...) mostly due to my stupidity. 14 inches? In ground? Only on a tank (but I'm not sure in case of the Deus ;). I think the Troy X5 could get some good depth, but it is falsing on iron (this is why I'm not using it).
2) Warum benutzen Sie kein effizienteres Grabwerkzeug, also eine Schaufel? Vielen Dank für Ihre Erläuterung!
Great video. Love the text as apposed to live voice and wind noise that us the norm on similar vids. I have a racer 1 and I'm trying to learn it. No decent finds yet but one day hopefully. What coil are you using here? I'll be subbing to your channel.
With all that iron I really admire your patience, the Romans certainly make it worth it. How old is your "magic wall"? Does it have any Roman or early history?
+Deluk - The wall has theoretically no Roman history (as far as I know). It is an abandoned vineyard. I don't know when it was built (19th-20th century - but this is only my wild guess). The nearest spot (structure) with confirmed Roman history is probably 1km away. I went to the library to look at some older maps, but I couldn't find anything special about this place. The area around this wall looks pretty average compared to this tiny "hot spot". I could recover many (good) objects (among a ton of modern trash and iron) but the targets were mostly from the WWII era (coins, brooches etc.). I believe that the soil could have been brought there from a different place when the wall was built. Maybe even later to fill a gap, or to extend a part of it. There is a field at the very top. It could also be a farmer with a load of soil (even from a distant place). They often simply dump the garbage over the cliff. But this is only my opinion. The abrupt absence of other similar targets near this area (and I'm talking about 1-30m distance left and right) is very strange. It seems to be just this small 1,5m x 1,5m ("special") spot. I will try to find out more about this place in the future.
+MetalDetecting24 Thanks for the detailed reply. I can't guess where your old vineyard is but the Romans did start viniculture on the banks of the Rhine and Mosel. Trier is mentioned. If there is a known Roman site just 1km away the area could have had vineyards on and off way back to the Romans.GL & HH.
+Deluk - Thank you. It could be the case, but (for some reason) I believe, that the wall was built around 19th century. As I already mentioned, I could not find anything, that would indicate Roman presence at some other parts of this vineyard (but of course, I'm not an expert). I will try to get more info in the future. Thanks - have a great evening.
+goldfinder gc1023 - But that would be cheating. ;) No, you are right, it would probably be the best idea. Someone suggested it in the past already. I will have to try it out.
+get in - I know it was you. I haven't mentioned your nick, because I wasn't sure if "goldfinder gc1023" (above) doesn't get confused when I write "get-in". :) It looks like you already started detecting? Is the ground not frozen anymore? I will get a magnet one day. It could be very helpful at places like this.
think of the weight . a small 3 tine hand rake with a neodymium attached to each tine . you can buy the magnets with countersunk holes and they are not expensive .great in loose woodland hunting .might even work on ploughed/rolled . but magnets have to be kept away from control box /coil.
+goldfinder gc1023 +get in - I have a temporary (Sunday) solution. But I'm not sure if this will work. Please take a look: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-1yK0fH1hEhA.html (The video is unlisted) P.S. I have purchased other magnets too...
Relooking your videos, i found out that the symbol of the boxe with the cross inside and the light around the box coud sgnfed this: " Christ s here", meanng an old catholc church was around there. Has a theologian, i would suggest too find if a catholic church was buld there once.
+Ronny Senftleben - Hallo, besten Dank.
MetalDetecting24 Sorry to hear you been unwell and i hope you get better soon. Here where i live many people are ill with flu, i guess it's that time of year. I enjoy your videos but i will be patient ;).
+Mud \_ Venator - Thank you. That was my own stupidity. I was hunting for several hours in heavy rain without cover. It was cold and windy, but I felt like superman (nothing can stop me...). Yea, that was probably my "reserve battery". Now I'm paying the bill :)... A new video will be up any minute.
Why don't you talk, why show button pushing without ant explanation, speek and tell, what you are doing. Why are you changing settings, what is you idea about why you want to change settings.
