Welcome. I try to show the technical aspect of metal detecting. I'm recording all of my hunts for further analysis (that way I hope to improve my skills). You never know, what might happen... You can find a gold ring, a nice silver or gold coin, unique relics, or even treasure. Capturing this special moment on video could be priceless.
Metal detecting is more than just mindless swinging of the coil - for me it's art. My goal is to do it fast, fluent and as effective as possible. During my hunts I'm not only listening to the metal detector, but also to the entire environment. I can feel a strong connection with nature and lately (sometimes) even reach a state that allows me to "predict" certain finds before placing the coil over it...
I'm showing all the parts of hunting instead of just already recovered targets on top of a plug, because this is a "metal detecting" channel. I don't speak during my hunts, but you can listen to the sound of the machine instead (and read the subtitles).
14:38 At least from the 1700s. Have you found so-called flower buttons in Germany? Flower buttons were used in Sweden-Finland in the 18th-19th centuries and were a very common field find with a metal detector.
MAN!! What do you do with all those buttons?? Those shiny buttons are called "Tombac". The ones with the eyes and nose are called blow hole buttons. I guess, during manufacturing the holes have to be there or they'd literally blow up. The accuracy of my statement are of a non-expert, so take them with a grain of salt>>>>>>
Hello Mr Md 24, Great Hunt Great Spot And a lot of Awesome Finds. Thanks Again for Another Great Metal Detecting Adventure. And As always Stay Safe And Have a good Weekend. 😊🙏👍⛏️ .
It’s catch 22 we need them but they don’t always work how we want to. Thank you for sharing your experience once again. It’s so inspiring. And I hope that you find real treasure soon. 😊 please keep making videos and sharing. Respect Stuart
I have been watching your videos for years as it is the same type of hunting that I do in South Texas. Where are the poisonous snakes?? Keep up the good work.
Magnificent team work. Do you believe in psycometry ? What a story the ring could tell us. Sadly lost in the ground for years but heroically found by you. X
he doesnt detect very often and for long amounts of time , he tries to make the most possible out of what he got and he only tightens his sweep when something really good has been found making him investigate the area surrounding it closely
I enjoy your detecting in the forest. The items you find are fascinating especially the ages of them. Thank you for your educational information and little acknowledgements of Nature, however tiny.
Andreas
Just to let you know this. MD24 is on german territorial. That means that when you use a spade in the forest for digging things up, it could be the last. A few person left their life in germany by hitting world war 2 ammo (bombs etc.)! MD 24 is a caretaker mon frere...
Hi MD24, digging deep holes unfortunately turns out to be a disappointment very often. But sometimes.... Nice finds after that. The white crust on the silver coins possibly is silver-cloride. Try a weak (5%) solution of ammonium-hydroxide (a few minutes).
