I thought feudal rights were removed UK-wide, which is why trespass became civil, There are very "specific" areas which are a problem if you enter but it's obvious you shouldn't go in or access. It's too easy to find yourself on private land in the UK so the trespass laws allow you to leave "once notified" again if you have crossed a fence or passed notices that is then different

Why didn't the security guard (Chris?) stop and question the two dog walkers when they were next to him? Also, because the sign says "not dedicated to the public" it dosen't mean it's out of bounds to the public, it means it's not there solely for the public, all manner of people and businesses can be there. Also if it was private, why all the signs informing people not to fish or swim, walk dogs off a lead, use the bins provided etc These companys MUST either train their security to a high standard or at least get people in that know what the British public are alowed to do and not just what the guards feel like.
I can't for the life of me understand what security believe is the issue with someone photographing or filming their building or why they think they can control it.

I'm always amazed at how security and police officers forget that they are talking to another adult when coming up to people on the street. Can you imagine any other random person coming up to you on a public street and THE FIRST thing they ask you is:"What are you doing!?" No hello, no presentation, just straight to "what are you doing!?" I'm doing whatever the f*ck I want! What kind of question is that!??
To be fair it is a high security site. Their job demands they risk assess first. The filming of secure premises raises suspicions. They are doing the right thing. If you want them to chat first and get to know you, maybe some light spooning, go to Greggs.

For the record and I do applaud AB for his videos. Still, the security guard from Nepal was a former member of the British forces a Gurka so having served with these guys I have total respect despite the language barrier.

A lot of these security guards are ex Gurkha. I've seen them in Kowloon, Singapore and Bangkok. Served with them a couple of times whilst I was in the army. Great lads.

Not only can you ask for the footage from his camera, you can also ask if his conversation about you was recorded and if so you can ask for a copy or transcript of that recording. All part of a subject access request, simply ask for all the information they have about you in whatever manor it is held.

If he was planning on following AB, there's a possible term for it - stalking. That's why it's important to find out what was being said. Just because he's a security guard, don't assume he doesn't have bad intent.
That sign should have said no invalids because there was no provision for wheelchairs . All over Britain the Councils approve plans that bar invalids and it is a disgrace.
Said it many times before across lots of auditor sites, but what do these cameras capture that security guards find so worrying? All I see is glass, paint, tarmac, grass, bushes, trees and steel! 1st Security guard definitely ex Gurkha, Nepalese very friendly, army trained, could slit your throat and you wouldn't even notice until you tried to speak! Very obedient to senior officers who are taught to speak Nepalese like the locals. That's why after 40 years in the British army they don't speak much English.
They love those people as security. Apparently they meant to be one of the best. Not sure why government is obsessed with them to be fair anyone could still do that job but they dedicate important jobs to them which is a dead giveaway when it comes to intelligence organisations
