I learnt never sign anything. I'm 52, never been in trouble, partially disabled from cancer, walking down my street, arsehole has a go at me over nothing, threatens to kill me, grabs my neck, I was a mental health nurse and a NHS trainer in self defence, so I breakaway leaving the guy on the floor, didnt follow up at all, cops turn up, blame me and tell me sign a form to say the "matter is settled". Find out that I admitted I was at fault. The other guy didn't sign so is officially blameless. Don't sign.
I live in Australia and in the last few years before retirement I drove buses. One day I was assaulted by a passenger on the bus. When a police officer was recording a statement, he asked "Did you give him permission to assault you?"
...back in the day, if you found something and handed it in to the police, you were given good old slap on the back and a hearty thank you, possibly a small reward from the owner... now you get "your nicked" and a slap in the face... sad, so sad
@@Gmac86. exactly!! Why’s this so hard for people to see, like I’m all about giving the benefit of the doubt but he’s ‘found’ a phone in mcds n rather than hand it to the cashier, he’s left and taken it to a phone shop.. to hand in?! 🤣 clearly was trying to sell it, the shop owner knew it was stolen, called the police. He came up with that story and the police either couldn’t prove otherwise or couldn’t be bothered to investigate.
Wrong!I have given the police a racing bike, I checked the price of the bike and it was 399 pound in Amazon. I took it to the police station however they asked me to keep it for 28 days if not bring it back. So after a month I got the bike back to the police station but the police said no one has asked for the bike so I can have it and they gave a letter saying this bike is mine from no on 😅
trying to get him to sign something confessing to a crime in the middle of the street without any legal advice or council or any evidence presented and no court date, how are the police even allowed to do this to someone on the spot without any assessment or anything, how do they know this person isn't a vulnerable disabled person who they are trying to intimidate into a confession, he can barely speak English as it is, they literally stitched the guy up right then and there.
It sounds like they have just sort of cautioned him for 'theft by finding', which is so wrong. He has had no legal advice at all. However, plod can add it to their figures to show how hard they are working (by picking on the vulnerable to up their crime figures, but staying away from anything that might be a bit difficult, dangerous or just plain hard work). Haven't watched all of this yet, so don't know how it will play out...
I wonder if they were recording him. They may not have informed him. They will on the basis of the caution upload his image to their data base which they will access if he is ever stopped
@@geoffbreen2386 there is no disclosure, the police are a government funded terror group, according to the dictionary definition the police are a terrorist organisation.
It's not a matter of "education". All the information is there for anyone to look up and understand. The problem is apathy. No one cares. We saw that during COVID. Ancient rights taken away at the drop of a hat, and barely anyone said a word.
Take the man or woman who acts as a public servant (police) and take him or her to court make them swear in and when they do everything they say true so ask him or her where they have the right to tell you what you can and cannot do with property and is it their property they will say no Then where do they have the right to rob it and destroy your property their duties are to protect the property of man and woman not persons (companies) and to save life’s of man and woman that’s it
@@blue24563 It's a working theory. But there are plenty of people in positions of power - petty or otherwise - who simply enjoy the feeling of having power over others, as can be seen in any HR department, bland office environment or middle-management meeting.
I got done by the caution scam man y years ago as a 14 year old. Got into trouble at school, I got arrested via my name just getting mentioned. Getting ripped apart by my parents never been arrested before and panicked. They didn't have any real evidence but I was young and got bullied into accepting the caution by getting told that it was a slap on the wrist and it wouldn't affect me in future it was just a formality. Boy was I wrong, all came up on dbs for when I had kids and started coaching the kids rugby team, it has stopped me taking my life limiting child to Disney in Florida. All because I got bullied into just accepting the caution didn't get offered a solicitor or anything. This was 24 years ago so it's been happening for years.
AB: “sounds like a genuine mistake” Goon #1: “potentially it is, that’s why we’re giving him some advice” Goon #2: “sign here” Coerced and deceived a Member of the Public into admitting guilt (by way of his autograph on the document) for finding a phone. Criminal behaviour which is Misconduct in Public Office therefore, both goons need indicting IMHO. Disgusting behaviour
Clearly wasn’t a mistake. He’s taken a phone he’s ‘found’ in mcds, then taken it to a phone shop to hand it in?? Or he’s tried to sell it & they’ve called the police?
That man had no clue what he was signing. But he should have handed the phone over to the manager at McDonalds, that would have been the right thing to do because the owner would go back there after he discovered he lost his phone.
He didn't hand it over because he took to cex or cash converters to sell. That's why his driving licence was missing, he was using it as identification to sell the phone when he got picked up. I'm sorry but he deserved that caution, our phones are a massive part of our lives. I would never try to sell a phone I found. Nor would I hand it in. If you're found innocently waiting for that phone to ring or posting it on social media, looking for the owner they would not nick u. I hate them but I'm sure of that
This is good advice, especially for the youngsters who could have their lives blighted for some foolish behaviour. Make the police charge you and prove their case. They probably don't have enough evidence.
@@richardjones8699 11:29 that website says that it'll be on your record for 6 years then it becomes "protected" but it's still gonna be visible on the National Police database and on a Police certificate for visas and it might still show up on an enchanted DBS certificate. Oh Slough what a place 😂.. such a shame what’s happened to it.. it’s literally the Ohio of the UK and I’m from there sadly but live far away now haha. AB great video as always next time your in Slough remember the unexpected is just around the corner (Road Wars Quote)
If he was a criminal he would have known not to sign anything. Also, the litter. It's one of the things I notice a lot whenever I come back to the UK. It's depressing. Why?
If a person isn't aware of his or her right's this is very easily done one can be under duress and more or less coerced and incriminated into that and there aren't many who have a clue what they signing unless you truly know what you are signing when police say they are advising people is the biggest lie in history they are there to misinform misinterpret make up laws and bullshit as they go along they are there to ill advise the members of the public into submission of guilt before found guilty nor they aren't legal representatives they work for the system the Crown and the prosecuting bodies wanting people put away against their will rightly or wrongly and they simply don't give a shit what they do because they work for the biggest corrupt gang of criminals never sign anything unless you are 100% sure what you are signing especially from the biggest gang of crooks If he isn't aware of his rights which I presume he isn't he probably panicked and signed it and simply had no clue what he signed
AB: 'Just filming' - Royal Mail man in blue shirt: 'What for?' The plain, simple, obvious and polite answer is: 'Mind your own business', or even better, complete silence.
I was told by an ex copper who was a decent copper btw. That 'theft by finding' isn't an actual thing in the UK. It's just theft of someone's property with the intention of keeping it. Otherwise you could nick anyone for picking anything up that's accidently lost. Which plod has done in the footage.
it is a thing but you need to take reasonable steps to return it to the owner still doesn't get away from the fact that legal advice should have been offered etc
The filth don't know th law or crime for sh1t around here. They not even real cops just impersonation mind you even then impersonaters tend to know the law more just like the rest of the community. They one big joke. Oh were allowed to chase eachother with 🔪🔪🔪 through the town here in Slough you know but we not allowed to be honest trusty citiz ns and hand in found objects or face walk a certain direction at certain time off the day. And if you a cr4ck head orp1ss head your allowed to take your c0ck out in broad daylight right in middle of street around children etc and p1ss everywhere and shoplift as much as your skraggly scabby skeleton hands can carry then in broad daylight in same town center blatantly try selling it to nieve idiots or cash converters for cr4ck money.
The sense of power security and staff seem to feel as they match away stating they are calling the police is super funny. Reminds me of kids telling a sibling they’re telling their parents on them for being naughty.
In the netherlands you have 24 hours after finding to turn it in at "a" police station before they can talk about theft...only in robbery or tracking it can be seen as guilty.
Hi AB Scary how you can get done over like that, shocking. Maybe because I'm older and I'm so trusting of the Police. When I was growing up I was told to call a Bobby if I needed help. The Blue vests are setting such a bad example, they are only making the place an even worse place to be by the look of it. Shame on Slough a big fail.
Pretty much every English town I've been to recently has this vibe. Was in Nottingham last week and, although you can see hints of its former glory, it's now just another sh*thole awash with drugs, unemployed scum, rubbish, dirt and an undercurrent of violence.
To be honest there are few lovely places in slough. However the town centre is a dive for sure. I was there today and I felt so horrible passing the place ie trolley loads of rubbish. Come to burnham beeches, decent areas. But yes stay CLEAR of the town centre. Also I'd like to point out - the idotic person who actually passed the bin but chose to just throw the rubbish on the floor. It's the PEOPLE that make the place. Very sad that most of the shops have closed.. bournemouth is the same, mostly boarded up. That what he crises has done and the WEF plan to get rid of most of the shops.
Wow, instead of employing traffic wardens and community officers, they want to employ people to keep the place clean and tidy, it is an absolute disgrace. The council want to be ashamed of themselves letting the place get into that state 😳

The female warden had probably been to McDonald's several times that day already (and every day previous). While the people of this country believe they can and should phone the Police (or threaten to) for anything they don't like, rather than actual offences, things cannot improve, especially as the Police effectively encourage it.
Blimey the standard and professionalism of security there is shocking. I blame quotas for a lot of issues in society now the crazy idea that you need to tick various boxes when employing people. How about the novel idea of just getting the best people for the job. Clearly in this case those people are crap a that job.
Slough has a relatively high crime rate; figures for all crime categories are annually above the English average and figures for a few categories are at more than double the frequency. According to British Crime Survey statistics, as of September 2013, Slough had the second worst rate of crime among local authority areas in the Thames Valley Police counties (87 recorded crimes per 1,000 population vs Oxford's 104)

The mystery place - it's the back of the telephone exchange. I went in there once when a friend was part of the upgrade team and he showed me how the old exchanges worked. Very interesting.
The smell of an old analogue GPO exchange l wish l had bottled, when allowed a visit by my Dad, a GPO engineer from '58-'75, on whose overalls the lovely smell lingered long. The clicks, whirrs and trills heard there were aural delight to a small boys ears, one could imagine several hundred voices all communicating down the lines.
