I saw this coming milage away actually it's not just the switch but all console version to run like that, Croteam is known for bad consoles optimization, I believe it will gonna be patched soon but still.
I played classic games on switch with performance mode on and the game runs almost perfect. I don't see an argument in those. But serious sam 3 needs the most help.
@@connor_the_otter serious Sam 3 had the most Problems when it first came out on PC then the Remastered version for Xbox 360, stutters like crazy when the entire screen fills with enemies, occasionally crashed too
it's Croteam, they suck ass when it comes to optimization for consoles as they're only faithful to the PC gaming, though with the release of Serious Sam 4 on PC have proven that they suck even more on PC, the game have thousands of problems and issues on the PC version... I heard serious sam 4 will be coming to the ps4 and XBONE in 2021 and after seen it's chaotic state of the game on the mighty master race the PC then I'm really not looking forward to the console port.
The big selling point back in the day was you were getting a fun game for cheap. For $20 in the 2000 you could get years old game or cash grabs. Serious Sam maybe it did not look as good as other games and was rought around the edges but it was cheap and fun that is why people got it back than. But yea Serious Sam 4 is now 40€-50€ it is not so cheap anymore so people now have harsher standarts to judge it.
@@Ali_Al-Nasir no, the game had 2005 graphics back when it launched in 2011. Even SS4 barely evolved... I love the series(except for SS4) but graphics are not their strength.
I remember the Serious Sam The First Encounter ran great on the PS2 lol I was just getting ready to buy this collection cause it's on sale for $14.99 on the PS Store, i might have to rethink this.
I bought it and to me, it’s very “meh”. Of course opinions are subjective but I’m just adding my input in case it helps a fellow gamer out who is on the fence. After playing games like shadow warrior 2 (online co op only. Not couch) and couch co op games like EDF iron rain, borderlands 3, and even gunfight on modern warfare with my daughter, this game just doesn’t hold up like i thought it would. It was more of a nostalgia buy. It’s not terrible by any means but i would could see this getting way cheaper on sale very soon so you may want to wait for that deeper sale. For 15 bucks, there were better options out there that were also on sale for a similar price 👍
Did not expect you to comment here, but yeah, looks like the base PS4 and Xbox One cannot get 60FPS with the Graphics settings, not even 60FPS on the Performance mode either! I am sure the PS4 Pro and Xbox One X has no issues but yeah, looks like optimization is just bad in this collection.
Well, looks like the Serious Sam Collection is really just unoptimized for all platforms. Something must have happened with the Serious Engine to be unstable, Serious Sam 4 especially shows how unstable it is.
I honestly find it kinda embarrassing that they're dropping frames on a game from a decade ago, which btw could hit 60 fps on last-gen. I guess these consoles really are CPU-limited...
these consoles got nothing to do with this, Doom 2016 ran at solid 60FPS on the ps4 and XBONE and graphically it's more demanding than these aged games, check out Croteam history, they're not very friendly toward consoles development as there's a one point that they decided to only make games on PC complaining that the requirements to make games for consoles is too much ( something about anti consumer ) and when they decided to make games on consoles ( obviously they need more money ) they started to bring these games to consoles, I believe they did make a similar collection like this for the Xbox 360, though they completely skipped the ps3, the best they have done on the ps3 is releasing a very washed out port of Serious Sam 3: BFE. though they recently been exposed about being faithful to the PC development with Serious Sam 4, the game on PC run so Bad! despite the multiple delays and at one time people thought the game was canceled.
@@anasbakhit4303 They may have really underestimated the power of these consoles then. Croteam has always been PC first and consoles second. Guess they didn't care enough.

yep optamization suck but how. Yea i know Croteam don't have budget like Bethesda but look a Doom Eternal this game look marvelous and run in most of time stable 60fps. I cannot belive the remaster of first SS from 2011 have a that "great" graphic the ps4 or ps4 pro can't handle it in 60 fps. And i know how many enemies fight with us in the same time but the model's of enemies it's not very detailed. In my opinion that's problem of poor optymalization and low Croteam budget.
I wonder if these games have a weird FPS because these Remasteres are based off the 360 versions? Serious Sam 3 isnt based of the PS3 or 360 ones. So that's it's own thing.
I honestly don't see any problems with this port. Sure its capped on graphics but I couldn't really give more of a fuck about that. And performance mode is stupidly silky smooth.
@@ContraNetwork I think it's called something like framerate refresher or something, digital foundry spotted this same issue on Bioshock the Collection when played it on the XBONEX as it keep doing this exact same hiccups thing where ironically the base ps4 and ps4 pro don't have this problem at all as they ran stright 60FPS. though seriously, I take this version of serious sam 3 over the ps3 port all day.
